There are thousands of Hispanic, white, etc. communities across the nation that are poorer and worse off but we don't hear about them because unlike black communities they are not rioting and destroying their own communities.

This is precisely the reason that we resist having people like this in our own communities.

It is they who have chosen to chain themselves to government dependence thus it is the government who decides what their value is and hand feeds them while they remain chained. The government decides how much they will receive to pay for housing, food, etc.

I grew up in a huge family in a 586 sq. ft duplex sleeping 3 and 4 to a bed with a cardboard box each for our clothing. Our parents spoke about the value of a good education and hard work. They never spoke about welfare, food stamps, or that the rich owed us simply because they were rich.

I learned how to speak English and I can absolutely tell you that teachers do recognize those who truly want an education thus they will focus on them. I came out of High School writing at college level.

Somebody need to tell these people that dropping out in 7th grade does not entitle you to a job earning $30-50k a year thus their future lies in retail and fast food.

Life is about choices and you decide your own fate.

I keep hearing, "their frustration is understandable".....what? Frustrated they are arrested for selling drugs? Frustrated they are arrested for theft and robbery? Frustrated they are arrested for rape and assault? Frustrated they chose selling drugs over education? Frustrated they are arrested for committing 85% of the crimes in the city?

It's the 15% of the law abiding people who's frustration is warranted...the other 85% are making excuses for the culture of failure and thuggery they live by...

That's when things will turn around.

When the frustration of hard working, decent people reaches a certain threshold, and instead of letting animals run amok destroying their life's work waiting for the police to do what they are supposed to do, the hard working people get armed and start gunning down thugs who look to attack them or damage their business.

I love this statement. There are millions and millions of people who have "gotten out" of both poverty and politically corrupt cesspools of governmental failure. I can already tell you what Baltimore's future is; anybody with the
means will move out of the city proper, to a safer suburb. Businesses
that were closed by the violence will not return. Other businesses will
suffer because those that are left in the city will continue to pillage
and destroy those that are naive enough to stay. Eventually, Baltimore
will become a vast, empty, wasteland where the port area is the only
source of revenue, and small oases of commerce will survive, surrounded
by hordes of ne'er-do-wells. I witnessed the same thing in my hometown (Detroit). The best thing intelligent people can do is move out of the city and leave the rubble to the rabble.

I grew up in a small town in a rural area in the south
(incidentally, that is about as good a thing as can happen to a person). In
1969 I was drafted into the US Army. I was thrown into a barracks with people,
the likes of which, I never knew existed. All kinds of people. A lot of the
guys were straight out of the inner cities of the northern cities, the
ghettoes. I lived closely with them for 8 weeks. Their way of life, their life
philosophy, was so alien to everyone I had ever known that they could have been
from another galaxy. They certainly refused to help anyone else but they were
against helping themselves and they were against anyone helping them. They were
against themselves. Over the years I have thought about it a lot and tried to
understand it but I can't. I watch the riots on TV and I see that same life
philosophy and I look at news from Africa and there it is again and Haiti and
there it is and I once traveled to Nassau in the Bahamas and there it was again
in person.

I have made friends with black people over the years, and
when I was in service, and have admired them but none came from a ghetto. I encounter
decent, God fearing , law abiding blacks everyday and even in those people I
see the tendency for them to side with skin color no matter if is right or
wrong. I fear they will side with the ghetto because those in the ghetto are
black too and the decision is not "right or wrong" but black or
white.

Baltimore is lost and maybe America and I fear bloodshed
which I never wanted to see again.

Similar life experience here. I've known individual blacks who were smart and good people. But, as soon as they were with a group of other blacks, they became n*gger$.

I had a black friend 30 years ago who was adopted by a white family. He was "white bread" through and through - good education, nice housing and clothes...

That would be an M17 protective mask. This version did not have a canister, rather it has two internal charcoal filters, one in each cheek of the mask. Not the most effective, but if the filters are in good condition, and the mask is sealed properly it will hold up well against tear gas.

Well, regardless it serves well to mask to his identity; since he is featured on multi-news sites, for him a good thing.
