Great reminders. A few years ago I wrote one of the early books on this topic: "75 E-learning Activities: Making Online Learning Interactive". It is still in print and there are likely several other books out there now that can provide other practical how-to guides for developing interactive events for online courses. What I have found over the years is that these can both make online courses more engaging for the students and also more teaching fun for us (as online instructors) too.

I have also written four editions of a book on study skills for online students: "E-learning Companion: A student's guide to online success". This developed out of teaching online for many years and finding that while the students were well prepared academically, many/most didn't have study strategies and habits to get the most out of the opportunities. It is important, I believe, to prepare our students to be successful.

Thanks again for the tips.
