This is a very practical approach to prioritizing and managing your social media channels. Lots of good information that should help people get their arms around the day-to-day of managing their social media activities.

Nice, clear and concise post. Seems like a clean system.

I find it interesting that Pinterest is still generally not mentioned as one of the first social platforms alongside Twitter and Facebook. Seeing as it's now used by more U.S. consumers than Twitter, it seems like it deserves more love.

Really simple but practical advice Maggie; so many businesses flounder on social media because they don't prioritise and review. Thanks for your tips. Jacqui

Can't agree that these are the simplest tips ever, although they are very useful. I have been thinking of ranking my accounts for months, but just haven't time for that or didn't want to find time) Right now (this minute) I will create a doc with latest stats for my accounts and will continue to fill it regularly. Thanks for pushing me)

Informative! It can be confusing to understand the true meaning behind each social signal. And it is easy to think that i.e. like, share and comment or reply, favorite and retweet all mean the same thing in terms of engagement. I appreciate that you clearly differentiated between each of these signals and their relevant significance in each Social Media Platform! Thanks Maggie!

To me, the to-do list should be even MORE specific: Schedule 5 tweets. Share 2 FB posts. Favorite 10 posts. Share 1 LinkedIn post. Follow one person. etc. Without those numbers, I just fall into a distracted wasteland.

Simplifying tasks that can be simplified is such a time saver, especially when it comes to social media!

really helpful tips! thank you! As for facebook/linkedin, now if someone comments/likes on a public post, all his network gets to see it as well in the timeline feed. is that (almost) as good as sharing? Especially on Linkedin, while one's activities don't reflect on his/her profile.
