These are the same WMDs that Democrats denied existed, these weapons were used against Kurds in 1988 in Halabja, they always existed, but when the US led an attack on Iraq, saddam had transported all these WMDs to Syria to hide evidence, Kurdish officials did warn US that the WMDs were moved to Syria and also provided evidence of their movements in 2005 after they were denied that they ever existed, and now these are all in the hands of ISIS, unfortunately they were used in Allepo and Kobani by isis not assad, they recently used it to kill over 300 iraqi soldiers in under several hours, yet thier existence is still denied, I urge all US citizens to spread this and speak up against why the Democrats are still denying thier existince.

Dan • 9 years ago

But there were no WMDs and it was Bushes fault, oh wait...

SantosGarcia • 9 years ago

So may this finally put to rest the denial that Saddam has WMD's. Besides that gutted commercial aircraft transported much of his cache to Syria (Beka Valley) just prior to the American invasion... but liberals knew that, right? http://zionsgate.wordpress....

Ricky Moore II • 9 years ago

You mean the WMD's that we never found and that Bush said must have been transferred to Iran?

PLEASE tell me people are doing some critical thinking here and not just drinking the Koolaid.

wytex2 • 9 years ago

No! We mean some of the WMD's that Bush said were moved to Syria before our troops could take possession of them. Learn what you're talking about before spouting off.

Don Ford • 9 years ago

"The revelations comes as the State Department acknowledged that ISIS has captured a stockpile of "OLD" chemical weapons at the Al Muthanna chemical weapons production complex as its fighters sweep through Iraq’s Sunni- controlled region." That's funny as we were lied to as the American people and told by Dems that there were no weapons of mass destruction, all the while I kept telling everyone they were there, but were moved elsewhere to hide them from U. N. Inspectors who took their sweet time looking as we may all recall. Not everyone in America is stupid or gullible! Guess they didn't look hard enough! Well, now we have some apologizing to do to Bush. Wait, you hate him too much to ever say your sorry, we Republicans get it! LOL

wytex2 • 9 years ago

There was, and continues to be, an erroneous (intentional or not) conception of what constitutes WMD's.
Many seem to think that only nuclear weapons are included in that category of weapon. They are wrong.

Democrat Quotes on Iraq Weapons of Mass Destruction (Note they were made BEFORE President GW Bush took office!)

"One way or the other, we are determined to deny Iraq the capacity to develop weapons of mass destruction and the missiles to deliver them. That is our bottom line."
--President Bill Clinton, Feb. 4, 1998

"If Saddam rejects peace and we have to use force, our purpose is clear. We want to seriously diminish the threat posed by Iraq's weapons of mass destruction program."
--President Bill Clinton, Feb. 17, 1998

"Iraq is a long way from [here], but what happens there matters a great deal here. For the risks that the leaders of a rogue state will use nuclear, chemical or biological weapons against us or our allies is the greatest security threat we face."
--Madeline Albright, Feb 18, 1998

"He will use those weapons of mass destruction again, as he has ten times since 1983."
--Sandy Berger, Clinton National Security Adviser, Feb, 18, 1998

"[W]e urge you, after consulting with Congress, and consistent with the U.S. Constitution and laws, to take necessary actions (including, if appropriate, air and missile strikes on suspect Iraqi sites) to respond effectively to the threat posed by Iraq's refusal to end its weapons of mass destruction programs."
Letter to President Clinton, signed by:
-- Democratic Senators Carl Levin, Tom Daschle, John Kerry, and others, Oct. 9, 1998

"Saddam Hussein has been engaged in the development of weapons of mass destruction technology which is a threat to countries in the region and he has made a mockery of the weapons inspection process."
-Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D, CA), Dec. 16, 1998

"Hussein has ... chosen to spend his money on building weapons of mass destruction and palaces for his cronies."
-- Madeline Albright, Clinton Secretary of State, Nov. 10, 1999

Thank you, Former Fed.

MACVSOG • 9 years ago

Now ISIS HAS THEM AND IT TOOK THEM WHAT A WEEK TO FIND THEM, THE REASON WE WERE TOLD THERE WERE NO WPM'S WAS BECAUSE WE SUPPIED THEM TO IRAQ DURING THE IRAQ/IRAN WAR, THEY ARE MARKED

Steveng • 9 years ago

We did not supply them. It was found that after France and Germany voted NOT to go to war was because they have trade with Iraq. It was found that two Germany manufactured mobile chemical laboratories were found buried beneath the sands just north of Hussein's home town and that France manufactured the chemicals.

wytex2 • 9 years ago

Does not explain the Dem's partisan flip-flop, later.

Karl Kimball • 9 years ago

Would this Sarin Poison Gas be exactly like the WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION you liberal loons out there said never existed in Iraq?! Yes, I thought so....

I think it's only a matter of time now that we Americans get an eye opening attack here, from these "peace loving" mulims you idiotic liberal keep protecting with your political correctness.

scarlettny • 9 years ago

How many of these peace loving Muslims are there in the States running around?

ourzoo10 • 9 years ago

Wow! That is quite a stash - considering the 'Looney Left' ridiculed Bush for going after the WMDs on the advice of his intelligence community! And, I might add, the CONSENT of Congress.

dannyo66 • 9 years ago

WMD's? What do you mean WMD'S? Iraq doesn't have any WMD's!!!! There were none found. Bush lied, people died....ummmmm. I was for the war before I was against the war...... thinking thinking thinking... I support the troops, not their mission....(darn where did those things come from?)

elda • 9 years ago

We should just bomb the plant and be done with it.

rcp11742 • 9 years ago

Just nuke the whole damn place.

wytex2 • 9 years ago

By all means, lead the way!

ron buice • 9 years ago

It still puzzles me why the short-lived ABC news report of CIA satellite photos of large convoys of truck were traveling from Baghdad into Syria just a few weeks before Bush was able to complete the builfing of the assault support base in Qatar and finally invade Iraq. Sadam was ready with NO WMDs. Surprise, surprise!

DeathOfIrony • 9 years ago

The article clearly says this is 'bench' sarin, which can be made in a basement, not industrial scale/military scale WMD.

It has not a thing to do with non-existent WMD programs that were the stated reason for Gulf II.

wytex2 • 9 years ago

And, AQI is not Saddam's old war machine.

Adam Wyatt • 9 years ago

That's not the only *** in Muthanna...

Kirschwasser • 9 years ago

Seems kinda' pointless to fight 9 years in Iraq and then leave stockpiles of WMD's behind....

Didn't anybody think to remove this stuff during the 9 years that they were there??

wytex2 • 9 years ago

What was left behind was/is in component form....uncombined for use as WMD. And, those with the expertise to recombine them at the time were either killed or captured. But, the stockpile should have been bombed into impotence.

elda • 9 years ago

I was thinking it would have been completely understandable to take out all production of these and the other chemical weapon plants before they got out.

Guest • 9 years ago
elda • 9 years ago

So....this plant they have taken doesn't exist? Oh, I didn't understand. Then we have nothing to worry about.......Right.

Kirschwasser • 9 years ago

"Bush was blamed for fabricating the rumor that WMD's were in Iraq"

Unfortunately, Bush believes that there were no WMD's in Iraq:

"A lot of people put their reputations on the line and said the weapons of mass destruction is a reason to remove Saddam Hussein," Bush said. "It wasn't just people in my administration. A lot of members in Congress, prior to my arrival in Washington, D.C., during the debate on Iraq, a lot of leaders of nations around the world were all looking at the same intelligence."

"I wish the intelligence had been different, I guess," Bush said.

When pressed by Gibson, Bush declined to "speculate" on whether he would still have gone to war if he knew Saddam didn't have weapons of mass destruction.

"That is a do-over that I can't do," Bush said.

-George W. Bush, Interview with Charlie Gibson, December 1, 2008
Don Ford • 9 years ago

I too noticed you read between Bush's comments too. Get off the Bush jag now, they found some of the WMD stash. You must be furious at this news. What are you Liberals doing now to back peddle or smooth this one over. LOL

seedykay • 9 years ago

Doesn't sound like he 's saying He doesn't believe Iraq didn't have weapons of mass destruction. He said he wished the intelligence had been different? Intelligence that said there were WMD's in Iraq. Saying he wished it had been different IS NOT saying he now believes there weren't any. Reading between the lines is different than adding between the lines.

Kirschwasser • 9 years ago

"Doesn't sound like he 's saying He doesn't believe Iraq didn't have weapons of mass destruction."

It does to me:

"Now look, part of the reason we went into Iraq was -- the main reason we went into Iraq, at the time, was we thought he had weapons of mass destruction. It turns out he didn't, but he had the capacity to make weapons of mass destruction."

-George W. Bush, White House Press Conference, August 21, 2006

"Reading between the lines is different than adding between the lines."

Omitting the lines entirely is even worse though.....

seedykay • 9 years ago

Just because they were not there when we went in doesn't not mean there weren't any. There was plenty of evedence that he had used those weapons on his own people. They found traces in empty shells. All it means is he got rid of them (to Syria) before we could get them. You believe what you want I don't carwe.

Kirschwasser • 9 years ago

"There was plenty of evedence that he had used those weapons on his own people."

There was plenty of evidence that he had used them against Iran in 1988 (and as far back as 1983):

"According to recently declassified CIA documents and interviews with former intelligence officials like Francona, the U.S. had firm evidence of Iraqi chemical attacks beginning in 1983. At the time, Iran was publicly alleging that illegal chemical attacks were carried out on its forces, and was building a case to present to the United Nations. But it lacked the evidence implicating Iraq, much of which was contained in top secret reports and memoranda sent to the most senior intelligence officials in the U.S. government."

-Foreign Policy, August 26, 2013

In fact, one of the stated objectives prior to Operation Desert Storm in January of 1991 was the destruction of Saddam's chemical and nuclear weapons capability:

"As I report to you, air attacks are under way against military targets in Iraq. We are determined to knock out Saddam Hussein's nuclear bomb potential. We will also destroy his chemical weapons facilities. Much of Saddam's artillery and tanks will be destroyed. Our operations are designed to best protect the lives of all the coalition forces by targeting Saddam's vast military arsenal."

-President George H.W. Bush, Transcript of the Comments by Bush on the Air Strikes Against the Iraqis, January 17, 1991

Obviously, this wasn't very high on the priority list in 1991.....so why wait for another 12 years to claim once again that it is imperative to remove Saddam's chemical weapons (when they were supposed to have been destroyed in Operation Desert Storm in the first place)?

You're not even being rational...

seedykay • 9 years ago

We didn't go into or bomb Iraq during desert storm. We only ran them out of Kuwait. Don't reply anymore. I'm done talking to an Obama sheeple.

Kirschwasser • 9 years ago

"We didn't go into or bomb Iraq during desert storm."

We were supposed to though:

"As I report to you, air attacks are under way against military targets in Iraq. We are determined to knock out Saddam Hussein's nuclear bomb potential. We will also destroy his chemical weapons facilities. Much of Saddam's artillery and tanks will be destroyed. Our operations are designed to best protect the lives of all the coalition forces by targeting Saddam's vast military arsenal."

-President George H.W. Bush, Transcript of the Comments by Bush on the Air Strikes Against the Iraqis, January 17, 1991

"Don't reply anymore. I'm done talking to an Obama sheeple."

It's not my fault that you are uneducated though....

Kirschwasser • 9 years ago

"Just because they were not there when we went in doesn't not mean there weren't any."

That's completely false....

As of late 2010, George W. Bush continues to insist that there are no chemical weapons in Iraq:

"Still, I knew the failure to find WMD would transform public perception of the war. While was undoubtedly safer with Saddam gone, the reality was that I had sent American troops into combat based in large part on intelligence that proved false.

That was a massive blow to our credibility --my credibility-- that would shake the confidence of the American people.

No one was more shocked or angry than I was when we didn't find the weapons. I had a sickening feeling every time I thought about it. I still do."

-George W. Bush, Decision Points, November 9, 2010

Are you saying that George W. Bush is now making this up?

DeathOfIrony • 9 years ago

There were a few caches of old weapons indeed found, but trying to spin that into evidence of any weapons program is silly.

There was no Iraqi WMD program.

There wasn't.

Even Bush had to finally admit this.

Guest • 9 years ago

I would say a weapons production facility is part of a "WMD program", wouldn't you?

Or do you rely on liberal logic?

seedykay • 9 years ago

No he only said they were not there when we went into Iraq. There was evidence he had used WMD on his on people.

prometheus11 • 9 years ago

This is in response to "tagdogs" who unscrupulous stooped to name calling. If a person can't think like a human being, should they bark like a dog? Just asking? Anyway, the "mushroom cloud" comment was attributed to Condoleeza Rice. The British government's top nuclear weapons specialist and scientist, David Kelly, was publicly attacked by Tony Blair for calling Blair's Iraq Dossier "sexed up." Only a few days later Kelly turned up dead. Tony Blair is the author of R2P Responsibility to Protect, being promoted by Susan Rice for US intervention in hotspots around the world. Blair most recently was impeached by a member of the House of Commons, for his lies involving the fraud perpetrated by him, which caused an unjust war to be waged against Iraq. Which in Britain means Blair could go to jail. And don't think for a minute that Cheney and Bush are not watching closely what happens to Tony Blair. They should be worried and Obama too, for covering up for the Saudis involvement in 911.

CheshireMan • 9 years ago

We're sorry but..what are you on about here? Have we missed some key junt of information relating to Mr. Blair that the rest of the free world know of and er, we don't? Simply asking is all. Not trying to shake a stick.

As for the nerve dart attack via bumbershoot, this was not odd at all now, was it? To go out and publicly speak out against a former PM and name names and dates and places took courage. As for the "sexed up" intonating remark: have you ever read any of tjose dossiers? Come on, man! They NEED spicing up.

Now that we've had a bit of sport....the man was assassinated not for what he knew, but for his willingness to tell. Truth be told, where were the WMD's Bush told all you blokes existed? Wipe the slate clean and begin again! The difference is that *here* an impeachment means the ENTIRE SITTING house falls while in yiur great country, just the president goes. But what ho?? Theres a grand start!!

cm

prometheus11 • 9 years ago

The last 50 years were missed, in terms of Americans doing due diligence as citizens in defense of their republic. And paying a heavy price for it now. How does the song go, "war is not the answer" but it is the answer for the financial oligarchy. It is that system, the Anglo-Dutch oligarchical system that is disintegrating around our heads today. It's the system Tinny Blair speaks for, if he can keep from going to jail.

Dons621 • 9 years ago

A miracle the isiSi has captured WMD that according to the FAR LEFT never excised when bush was pres But now is seems that it suddenly appers as OLD. But at Bush's time it never was there!!! This just go 's to show you how big the LEFT LIES!!!

Amazing isn't it? Of course there are those that at this very moment blame Bush for Hitler.... Then there are the Obamanite- they just like to keep things stirred up so folks don't pay too much attention to what their Messiah is doing to destroy the U.S. Kinda like the frog in the pot of cold water on the stove.

I think the frog is thinking about getting out of the pot.

This whole mess going on. The IRS loses over 2 tears of Emails. All of the hard drives crashing on every Computer is a Trillion to 1 .But they will argue and tell the American people that it really happened. And the sad part is a lot of Demonic rats will believe Obama. And the mess in Iraq sits square on Obama's shoulders. Under his command this Isis Jihad Terrorist was released under Obama. But Isis is a muslim brother. If Obama finishes his term. History will say it was the worst 8 years in American HISTORY

It may be the last eight years of American history period.

Amazing isn't it? The WMDs that allegedly never existed are finally uncovered. Lois Lerner's Emails will surface again one day, too.
