None of these harpies are practicing Catholics, so who cares what they think? Notice they NEVER criticize Islam?

deplorablematt2717 • 9 years ago

"Notice they NEVER criticize Islam?"
That's how they keep their empty heads attached to their bodies.

Robert Lee Coeyman • 9 years ago

"And next on Al Jazira, the View criticizes Islam followed by a candid discussion with Bill Maher about his new movie, critical of the Prophet Mohammad." Just imagine the ratings that would bring in. A billion people are just waiting to see that broadcast.

MysticPizza • 9 years ago

What kind of Catholic votes democrap?

George Pierpont • 9 years ago

What kind of catholic college would invite Obama to speak at their graduation? And I'm a huge ND fan too!

MysticPizza • 9 years ago

Very true! I didn't understand that either.

Jazzee • 9 years ago

oh I know lots of them
social justice you know

Many a misguided Hispanic Catholic. Don't kid yourself.

Carabec • 9 years ago

Fear of beheading perhaps?

All Catholics do is pray for you.

maurice444 • 9 years ago

LMAO...... soooooooooo true!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol

Deplorable in CA • 9 years ago

Because they're cowards. Catholics will simply let any criticism pass them by, while the most radical of Islamists will be inclined to cut your head off!

Edit: Okay, maybe "cowards" is the wrong word. More like "Turn the other cheek", as opposed to cutting off the other cheek.

Dayne o • 9 years ago

Exactly!!!

Trish Martinez • 9 years ago

All of those ows on the view would probably look better with niqabs covering up their ugly faces. Sadly that still wouldn't stop their bass mouths from flapping wind. Perhaps muzzles?

jimwilson81 • 9 years ago

Great response. I got a good laugh out of it.

11Bravo Scout, it is nice to see the Tropic Lightning on this page. Kind of miss being in that area with a few exceptions...

Wolfhounds! So many years ago! Still in touch with five from our platoon!

cacadodo666 . • 9 years ago

Liberal, atheist, jews in olitics and the media are a WAYYY bigger threat to Catholicism than any Islamist.

Guest • 9 years ago

The day the Catholic Church is acceptable to these liberally-disabled anything-goes cretins is the day it ceases to be a real Church.

Flash105 • 9 years ago

Funny how 2000 years ago Jesus predicted how the evil would persecute Christians. And perish.

Ty in TX • 9 years ago

It'd be the Church of the Other Scientology.
I admit the Catholic Church has made some damn boneheaded mistakes, but like others have said, let's hear some of that biting critiques of Islam? Say did you know that some of the Japanese soldiers to take part in the Rape of Nanking and other atrocities were Zen Buddhists? What do you say to that Rosie?

Nunyabusiness79 • 9 years ago

Ahh Scientology a made up religion created as a bet by a crappy scifi writer.

panzerakc • 9 years ago

Yes, indeed.

Hubbard was supposedly quoted once as saying, "If you want to make some real money, start a church".

And I used to live in Clearwater, Florida.

gigi4747 • 9 years ago

Thanks for raising that point about Japanese atrocities and Buddhism. I think leftists would respond by saying that the Japanese didn't commit those crimes in the name of Buddhism or Shintoism (as opposed to supposedly all the warfare in western civilization). But that answer makes no sense, of course.

I have often wondered how people that ascribe the "cause of all wars" to religion are able to explain all the warfare that has ever happened in Asia.

Robert Lee Coeyman • 9 years ago

Propaganda is about control of a mindless mass. Christianity produced a world that readily admitted that we did not need to be ruled by 'an enlightened elite.' Like Satan, progressives do not care what you believe as long as you hate the only thing that is dangerous to them.

Ty in TX • 9 years ago

I once read a history of warfare starting from the first historical record of combat to the Second Gulf War. It was quite thorough; it plainly showed that religious conflict was as much a problem in the East and the Sub-Continent as it was in Europe and the New World. Also as far as the New World was concerned, conflict was in place before Columbus as well as after.

gigi4747 • 9 years ago

I guess my thought would be that while violence sometimes breaks down along religious lines, eg, Northern Ireland or the Middle East, the violence is simply an unfortunate byproduct of human nature more than a product of religious beliefs. As long as one group has resources or land that another wants, there will be warfare.

Hard to explain why the Japanese were so incredibly vicious to the other Asian nations or western POWs they had in their control, though. But at any rate, the idea that non-western religions like Buddhism or Shinto have some kind of protective effect against violence is just not borne out by reality.

The church makes mistakes yes..but it never makes mistakes ever in regards to keeping to the teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ. The hateful media will have you believe otherwise..it's job is to keep attacking the Church..ignorance displayed by these cafeteria ex Catholics who think you can believe and do what makes you feel good..is rampant.Unfortunately..too many Catholics believe as they do...but do not fear..the Church shall never fall to hell and the minions who attack it constantly..the View and so many others much worse..Like Hitler..Stalin...etc..have all gone the way of extintion..but the Church and the Holy Name of Jesus still stands..the days will get darker..faith will be shaken and tested..we must never waiver..but hold steady to the Truth...as for the enemies of Catholicism..they kick at steel walls with feet of clay

deplorablematt2717 • 9 years ago

Too late. Most Catholics vote Democrat, under the well-intended but horribly-misguided and evidence-lacking impression that Democrats care more about poor people.

Betsy • 9 years ago

This is one Catholic who doesn't vote Democrat, and who does care about poor people. For what it's worth in today's society. :(

Kinda • 9 years ago

I don't vote dem either and am a Catholic. I see very few non-Christians who will help the poor. There are some atheists, Hindu and Buddhist who will help with a local PADS shelter in a church. You don't see any muslims offering to help and they do live in our area.

Guest • 9 years ago

Which makes no sense considering most of the issues the Demonrats push are completely against Catholic doctrine.

DMReed • 9 years ago

Practicing Catholics do not vote for Democrats. Maybe 30-40 years ago they did, but nowadays, practicing Catholics vote Republican. It's the nonpracticing Catholics that still vote Democrat. Problem is, there are too many nonpracticing Catholics giving practicing Catholics a bad name.

MysticPizza • 9 years ago

Yes, I know some liberal "catholics." I laugh at the ridiculousness of their beliefs.

mrgard • 9 years ago

Not this Catholic and all the catholics i know

NDXUFan • 9 years ago

Wrong, this Catholic does not vote Democrat.

ahsum99ss • 9 years ago

Flat out lie

Zachary Witt • 9 years ago

I think your sounding like them matt2717

Jazzee • 9 years ago

I fear that the church is closer to them than we want to believe
very liberal leftie priests/bishops
social justice
all out for illegals
gays have been around since forever...as far as I know the church never bothered them they just didn't want to marry gays
the church sat silent on partial birth.......murder
the pope speaking of acceptance has always been part of the church
and being kind, helping others, etc. but he is a Jesuit and they believe very strongly in leftie social justice
it's kind of sad
the church I was raised in and went to catholic schools...just not the same
and when they lied and tried to spin raping children lost all respect for them
they KnEW
I have known about strange things from the time I could understand
anyhow the church thinks being 'cool' like obamadog is the answer it's not but that is where they seem to be going.................very scary

Sdman • 9 years ago

It was never a real church to begin with. It was the Roman Empire restructuring. That's why they have so many pagan practice.

Daniel • 9 years ago

That's their goal

Guest • 9 years ago

It would appear so.

I can't understand their anger with The Church. They know what The Book says and they know The Church adheres to The Book. Why would they be angry with The Church for not bending to their whims when they knew that The Church wouldn't going in?

Time for angry liberals to form their own 'if it feels good do it church' and get over their intolerance of others.

Mother124 • 9 years ago

The problem with liberals is that they don't want to go through the trouble of starting their own anything. They want to bully the people who have already built the organization (whatever that happens to be) into letting them have their way with it.

Ty in TX • 9 years ago

Like any other virus. They get in, they adapt the inner workings to produce more of themselves, and then send the new ones out to infect other entities.

deplorablematt2717 • 9 years ago

Exactly—that's why Obama crowed, "You didn't build that!"

exactly

Robert Lee Coeyman • 9 years ago

You do not sell the holocaust on the shower scenes. A bad idea is sold as though it was a good idea meant to accomplish great things. Satan presents himself as an angel of light. It is not that progressives want their own church. As long as there is an alternative, there will be a better way than the way that progressives are selling. Utopia must be global or there will be escapees. Progressive faith must be the only faith or there will be apostates.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

Brian Barkley • 9 years ago

I would hate to be that minister looking in the collection plate.
The cobwebs wouldn't even be disturbed.
