We, with our, oh so limited "mortal" view, forget all things are before our God at all times and, although He knows all things He obviously wants us to develop our faith and trust in Him than avoid all the calamity Satan can muster. Michael has jogged one of my remaining active brain cells and they have thought of who gains from this long range plan to remove god and the rights from this nation. Who will gain? I learned at a young age to follow the money. This is normaly the reason for any action but I see one more. Power! Who will have the power for they must be centered in government. We have only one problem for power with or in a country that has a constitution that limits the power of government or did. Grandpa--you hit the jackpot. People get mad at me when I say Satan was created by God (he used to be called Lucifer, son of the morning light). He rebelled--wnated to overthrow the Most High (have his power) and was cast out. But, God knew before Lucifer was even created he would do that so in my mind there must have been a purpose--why, right from the beginning old Lucifer as Satan has been doing a great job tempting us to be evil and trying to exert his power over us. You don't think he "inspires" people to do his will just as God inspires us to do His will? There are homsexual incidents in nature, but in God's wisdom those creatures are usually destroyed by their own kind, and/or of course cannot procreate so do not carry on any of their traits. Nature does make mistakes but usually takes care of them so they don't do as much damage--people on the other hand--not so much.

You are correct that nature would get rid of such inclinations if they occurred naturally. I guess you are correct, but I have seen animals that should not have lived (were product of generations of feral inbreeding and sickly to begin with) but, taken in and "saved" (by a less than smart lady) that turned out to do some pretty strange things. I fully agree in most cases being a "good" Christian should not imply stasis, but actual living and doing what the Spirit compels and our individual capacity allows. I actually do not know any true Christians who are not serving God by being actively involved in doing good in their communities and however they can as individuals influence our political system. And, I personally, belong to politically conservative, Christian groups and associations and do what I can to support their efforts on national/world issues. But, you are correct in saying efforts by faithful Christains has not been working to save our country from debauchery and intended slavery. That may be more a matter of course as the power of Satan against all that is good and holy has never been greater as the Seals are opened and God allows the inhabitants of the entire world to suffer the buffetings of Satan (I believe as a means of humbling those with stiff necks and giving every man, woman and child the time and opportunity to repent before the Savior's return). While the battle to save our nation (or restore it if it gets any more lost) wages on each person is called for a specific duty. I believe mothers are called to devote the Lion's share of their life to raising their children to be strong and faithful and prepared for the battles to come and to be steadfast in preserving peace and harmony within the home as a faithful helpmeet for their husbands. Many of our current social problems are a direct result of having both parents working just to make ends meet thereby feeding their children's bodies but starving their souls. The worldly pressures on young families are enormous and in order to preserve the family both the father and the mother must prioritize every moment for their well-being. And, young families have little financial resources to dedicate toward making much of a dent against the enmies of our country so it is wisdom to raise their children in the Lord so they might continue the battle for righteousness in the future. Thus, those whose families are rased are far more able to lend their time, talents and financial resources toward an organized effort to restore our Republic, yet we have no one unifying organization to join. Even the leaders of the Church are not pro-active in this regard (except Marxists masquerading as pastors and priests and the race bating pseudo "reverends" that abound these days to confuse and deceive souls for political and financial gain) so it remains difficult to have much of an impact. Do you have substantive and realistic suggestions as to what we can do? Perhaps you have been chosen to organise all the independent conservative organizations to work and act in unison so that our individual efforts can make an impact. Have you ever thought about that? Perhaps it's time for Church leaders to gather followers and lend a little inspired direction...offer classes on how to become politically involved and effective in having our voice heard and respected in the halls of Congress and the White House. Everybody complains and even here we are "preaching to the choir." We need a way, a means for concentrating the voices of Christians everywhere on specific issues and making a great enough impact to turn things around. But, how?

I am completely convinced that the established religions of today are polluted and perverted by men, not God. I am a serious student of ancient history and religions and simply want to get the entire truth of many matters, and that is exactly what I am doing. I frmly believe the current Bible is only a partial source of what was once a much greater truth. I can assure you back about 2000 years ago and further there was no church anywhere having easter bunnys or egg hunts on their premises, nor was there anything that resembled Christmas as we have developed it into a purely commercial event that has almost nothing to do with Christ. I mention these points because it is clear many other grander issues have also been perverted by men not God and that is beyond obvious. Nearly every church out there today is simply a business entity that pays no taxes and and sells false forgiveness and redemption as a commodity. And they have some what of a captive audience of people that are not what they claim to be. Nearly all are completely polluted and perverted for many reasons. I prefer not to participate in such for definitive reasons. IMO the churches are not much different than our government. Both have morphed into something very different than the original intent ! Given that, I would clearly say that without Jesus I would be completely lost in ever matter and event. But I am not by his grace. I pray to none except him and always will. For whatever reason I have been given many gifts of knowledge, understanding and health. Again it is all at my site and FREE ! It is all about our free will . Everything is. The choices we make defines us and our outcomes. It also defines our understanding and knowledge of every event. Our awareness or closeness to God is NOT defined as many seem to think.

Whenever God wants something done He has a baby born and raised to meet that purpose. He works through people most the time, but considering these may be the last days leading up to the return of our Savior I wouldn't be surprised if He didn't have a few mind-boggling miracles to throw our way if we are faithful. I know the Israeli soldiers have a few stories about the miracles they've encountered each time they are sent into battle--they pray for and believe God goes before them and there have been many incidents where rockets were moved off course in mid air, as well as soldiers not being harmed despite overwhelming odds. Will God allow the innocent to suffer, the righteous to perish--probably first, before everyone else. But, their blood shall not be sacrificed in vain and all things will be made up to them when they return home. Doing whatever God asks us to do is more important than whether or not we survive the days of the tribulation. We must simply do His will and let the consequences follow.

I have just had occasion to quote John Adams on this general subject, triggered by another blog of Joseph Farah's today, regarding the 'celebration' (not, unfortunately) of Constitution Day:

In my work (mental health field) what we are witnessing througout this nation is "the will to will." Having power to act does not necessarily mean any thought processes are going on at all. Just as we would never let a herd of Clydesdale horses run through our homes, towns and cities unless they were trained and under the guidance of a skilled horse person to guide them so they accomolish their task without destroying everything in their path, people also need to be guided and taught where they can and cannot go. Just because we have the power to do just about anything we want does not mean we should exercise our will just for the fun of it and ignore potential consequences. Unfortunately today society is over run with people exercising their "will" without any consideration for the consequences nor care about other people's rights not to be burdened with the ill-effects of their rampages.

2) On the contrary: The US came to many realities of the "1984" via a slow 100 years process of erosion (still in "progress"). The US may well be "GULAG bound" (as the respective site hints), or may be not. So far the shameless compliance to the de-facto one party rule and indoctrination goes without resistance, so that chambers 101 and GULAGs may happen to be unnecessary.

3) Just one grotesque difference. Those who were privy to the deadly compromising past of Stalin could not survive a second.
