It must be remembered that the black boxes were at first under the control of the pro Russian forces and they had time to tamper with them.

HussarLitewski • 9 years ago

Nope, Malasians said that there were no signs of tempering.

Mike215 • 9 years ago

Malaysia is a Muslim country. They past a law this year stating that anybody seeing or having a DVD of the film Noah will be executed. It would be better for a monkey to look at those boxes then these crazy Muslims. These boxes are made in the USA and should have been examined by Boeing or the US Government.

Faris • 9 years ago

What a load of bullcrap, denying claims simply because of the country's religious affiliation. I am from Malaysia and I can guarantee you that we don't punish people from seeing movies (or any other Muslim countries unless of course, if you watch a lot of FOX news), the furthest we would do is simply banning the movie. Man, your comment is full of ignorance.

US is a key player in the issue, they have been supporting Ukraine from behind and have been pointing fingers at Russia as soon as the plane went down. A neutral party is the one that should examining the black box.

The truth is appalling. That's why media went silent.

When it comes to matters of foreign affairs (as opposed to Russian domestic affairs), RT is more credible now than the Western "presstitue" mass media. One simply cannot trust what Washington & the Western media says any more. Your source of news MUST come from "alternate news media" (principly the internet). It's looking more & more to me that MH-17 was shot down by the Western controlled Ukrainian government in Kiev rather than Russia or the Eastern Ukrainian Separatists. To avoid being embarrassed & caught in lies, all the data on the black boxes, air traffic control radar & verbal flight control tapes now available in the West are being suppressed & possibly altered (the more time they delay their release, the more suspicious it gets).

Jonathan Soanes • 9 years ago

That is the most sensible thing I've written about the Ukranian situation since it began. There is no alternative within Western media that can be trusted and the population at large is just believing what it is fed. It's feeding hatred and it's wrong.

It is the same argument Hitler used when he invaded neighboring countries.

Mike215 • 9 years ago

You claim they never invaded Crimea or the eastern part of Ukraine? That means that Hitler never invaded Poland.

Mike215 • 9 years ago

The US was on board in the last UN vote in the General Assembly and got 100-8 against Russia.

Guest • 9 years ago
Mike215 • 9 years ago

It did matter in the late 1980s when the General Assembly voted against Russia's invasion of Afghanistan. It was a factor in forcing them to pull out.

Mike215 • 9 years ago

That is not the rest of world thinks. When there was a vote in the UN on Russia's conquest of the Crimea, 100 countries voted against Russia while only 10 voted in favor.

Guest • 9 years ago
Mike215 • 9 years ago

So Russia never invaded the Crimea or eastern Ukraine. And Hitler and Stalin never invaded Poland.

Mike215 • 9 years ago

The Russians are worried about this UN vote. In the late 1980s the UN voted against the Russians in Afghanistan and Gorbachev admitted that was a major factor in getting out.

Guest • 9 years ago
Mike215 • 9 years ago

And there is no clear proof that Russia invaded the Ukraine? Only 8 countries out of 200 believe it.

"The interview marked the latest example of Moscow's attempts to go on the
media offensive at a time when it faces intense international pressure"

Really? I seem to remember Moscow asking these questions on the 19th of July in their "Moscow raises 10 questions surrounding MH17." And they've been asking them relentlessly ever since.

I don't know about anyone else, but I would've thought that this information would be rather important for the investigation, would it not? And therefore for you, the Telegraph, to treat it so trivially is somewhat disrespectful to the friends & families of the people who died on MH17.

You have Journalists, Telegraph, apparently. Are you not a little curious why the Kiev ATC flight data has not been presented to the investigation teams? Not even a little bit?

Or the black box data? Not interested what's happened to that? I know. The Dutch & Malaysian investigation teams have it. And they will present their report sometime early this month. That's called research.

Meanwhile, I guess you'll do the same as the tabloids & keep up your healthy diet of conjecture & petty stabs.

I am truly amazed at the incredibly low troll count in this discussion. In the 50 or so comments i've read, only about 2 posters were proudly spiteful and ignorant. This is truly unprecedented when it comes to a western article about Russia!

What has happened to all the anti-Russian passion? Like russians are drunk, stupid, illiterate, ugly, hairy, bald, smooth, rough, christian, atheist etc etc...

Come on trolls, put some effort in! Fling around accusations etc...

Busy fapping

West is silent not only about the data record from the black boxes. They are silent every time when business concerns the truth

Why west is so silent about the data record from the black boxes??? There is the murderer identity, there is a lot of evidence of ploting against that flight, coming from Poroshenko and other olygarchs' armys just as Kolomoisky...
why UK depend on US politics?? There is no independence if you must do what the master wants you to do... C'mon english people, rise your voice against the fascism set in Ukrainia by US because there is no tomorrow for this fight.

Mike215 • 9 years ago

The West is silent about the Black Boxes because Boeing and the US Government should have examined them because they WERE MADE IN THE USA. Meanwhile the Dutch report said the plane was hit by a possible missile, but did not mention the Russians. So the report ignored US satellite and radar data and statements from pro Russian forces that they shot it down.

oldasiahand • 9 years ago

No chance! The UK is the US' , its so-called leaders take their orders from Washington in order to protect their after-politics incomes.

OSCE monitor tells CBC Canada that MH-17 cockpit has holes made by heavy machine gun fire http://www.discussionist.co...

griffinalabama • 9 years ago

Off course trajectory of debris field proves that MH-17 deviated 14 miles to the left.
http://www.discussionist.co... The Kiev junta shot it down. There is plenty of evidence to prove it. The media silence is deafening and speaks volumes.

gordonehil • 9 years ago

It is no accident that the Telegraph is not publishing the most important photograph of MH17, which is that of the bullet riddled cockpit. That photograph immediately vindicates the Russians and proves the guilt of US Ambassador Geoff Pyatt and his puppet Poroshenko.

Mike215 • 9 years ago

The Russians shot it down because Putin was afraid that its TWO MUSLIM PILOTS were on a suicide mission. The plane was supposed to travel over part of Russia but it was hot down only miles from the border. IT must be remembered that the plane was run by a Muslim air line which was owned by a Muslim country. My guess is that his spies reported that the plane could have been on a suicide mission like the four Muslim pilots in the 911 attacks.

Faris • 9 years ago

Putin need not be afraid of the Muslims. The Muslims are powerless against Russia and Muslims themselves love Russia more than the West.

There are many Muslim pilots in the World. Emirates and Etihad have a lot of Muslim pilots, all of which have destinations in Russia, even Malaysia Airlines used to have destination in Russia.

Man, you're like those stupid Bible-believing Americans who apparently, accepted everything in FOX news, you probably believe that the Earth was created 6000 years ago, lol.

Mike215 • 9 years ago

How come all the suicide bombers and pilots are Muslims such as the four pilots in the 911 attacks? It is no accident that the 777 that disappeared had two Muslim pilots.

gordonehil • 9 years ago

The audio recording from the black boxes contains the sound of the 30 mm rounds hitting MH17's cockpit. Two Ukrainian Sukhoi 25s intercepted MH17 after it had been ordered by Borispol Air Traffic Control to change its route and fly over the war zone at a lower altitude so that it could be intercepted and shot down. There are photographs of the bullet-riddled cockpit all over the internet. As usual, Cameron and Obama have been peddling transparent lies in order to provoke war.

yaridanjo • 9 years ago

I like the Romanian guy's MIG 29 theory a little better but the SU 25 cannot be ruled out because there are some specially modified versions of them.

There is no doubt that this was a Kiev shoot down of MH 17.

Wixxiam • 9 years ago

The evidences may be substantial, possibly well understood by the opponents, and such difficult to bring forward.

Any individual with first hand knowledge of the disaster should immediately report to the United Nation War Criminal Tribunal.

Anyone with common sense that passively contributed to the destruction of MH17, may have committed a war crime. Any individual withholding evidence may be considered equal responsible.

oldasiahand • 9 years ago

The US is not a party to the War Crimes Tribunal and they will protect their puppet.

"Russia demands publication of recordings from downed flight MH17"

Why not?

It was said to be published months ago. What are we waiting for?

Mike215 • 9 years ago

It must be remembered that the Black Boxes were at first under the control the pro Russian invaders and there was time to tamper with them.

HussarLitewski • 9 years ago

Malasians said the boxes were not tempered with, so why spreading lies?

Mike215 • 9 years ago

How do we know the boxes were not tampered with? They were in the hands of the Russians and they could have do something. Anyway these US MADE MADE BOXES WERE NOT EXAMINED BY BOEING OR THE US GOVERNMENT SO WHAT OTHERS REPORT IS MEANINGLESS.

Mike215 • 9 years ago

Since when the Malasians know about technology? They passed a law that anybody cought with a DVD of the film NOAH will be executed. The boxes are MADE IN THE USA and US government should have examined them.

Have over 2,000 hours of military heavy jet time; the MH17 excessive secrecy is appalling and I am disgusted by it.

It has been a common practice for decades to publicly release the ATC-aircraft voice communications and radar data following an incident or crash. This data is recorded and stored by ATC. It is separate from the black box data.

If pro-Russian rebels shot that plane down, then those voice communications and radar data could be very revealing, right?

If this data does not get released because Ukraine and others want to keep the matter secret, then the Ukrainian government must be regarded as behaving in a suspicious and deceitful manner and must be considered as one of the suspect groups involved in the MH17 shoot down.

More of the public will get more concerned as more days pass and the secrecy remains.

When will the public say, enough already, publicly release the ATC-aircraft voice communications and radar data as stored by ATC facilities as well as the data from the black boxes to allow independent forensics to be done.

This was not a military crash. It was a civilian crash that must be publicly investigated by ICAO (UN) authorities and without secretive political interference.

Gunnar René Øie • 9 years ago

The Lockerbie crash investigation took three years. After the Air France 447 crash, they spent two years looking for the black boxes and after finding them it took a further year of investigation - that was without warfare at the crash site in the Atlantic.

A criminal investigation typically has a law enforcement agency like the FBI as the lead agency with air crash investigators (NTSB et. al) supporting.

Even though ICAO and the Netherlands are in charge of this investigation, the suspected criminal nature of the crash, and the great number of countries and bureaucracies involved, would typically make it take longer than if it was a simple crash.

By the way, how do we know if the investigators aren't waiting for the Russians to release their radar or ATC records?

griffinalabama • 9 years ago

Russia has released their civilian radar data that shows a fighter jet approaching the plane. The US State Department has declined to acknowledge this information is relevant. That speaks volumes. All information is relevant in a criminal case. The US is covering it up.

Gunnar René Øie • 9 years ago

A ground attack plane which was miles away, and miles below, MH17 at the closest. They're right that it's not relevant, since it was no more possible for that Su-25 to shoot down MH17 from that distance than it is for Vladimir Putin to transform into Titan form and shoot down MH17 with an enormous shotgun. Nor was it possible to mistake a cruising civilian airliner with a ground attack fighter, even without the benefit of IFF and ATC intel.

PrestonPark • 9 years ago

These civilians, who were totally unconnected with any aspect of the war in Ukraine, deserve justice. Mass murder should not go uninvestigated or unpunished.

That the UN, the International Court of the Hague, the EU commission and parliament - let alone the national governments of the people murdered - haven't demanded a full enquiry with the most thorough and transparent of processes, just shows how corrupted the world has been by the Washington Empire.

It's utterly disgusting and shameful, a big black mark on the Western world's sense of morality.
I look forward to the day when all the conspirators in this - the government officials, politicians and media owners are held responsible and made to account for their actions in open court.
The victims and families of those victims have been treated in the most appallingly cruel and callous way - many will never even have the comfort of laying to rest their loved ones.
Put yourself in their position now - how would you feel?

And all so Washington, the EU and the rest of the murderers could gain a temporary propaganda 'victory' over the eastern Ukrainians and Russians.

298 people, sacrificed in the most cruel and terrifying way for a media headline.
DT - you should not be proud either.
