Woman want more representation and respect in the gaming media sphere and then keep pulling stunts like this. Two steps forward, one step back, am I right?
When will we see the Jezebel articles calling out all these woman for setting gender-in-the-industry back a few years?
Or are those articles only appropriate when it's men who are the antagonist?

Feminists haven't written articles like that in decades.

bigshynepo • 9 years ago

Yup, that's my point. Feminists only write articles these about men holding back gender equality in whatever industry, they would never call out their own gender regardless of how damaging their actions were to the "cause".

So how come gamergate gets to say "This person doesn't represent us" but it's ok for you to lump WOMEN into a big group where we're all responsible for what each other do?

bigshynepo • 9 years ago

The media has made sure that all gamergaters are painted with the same brush so your assumption is flawed.

The fact that you embolded women in this is saying that Women should be excuse for this. Not so fast there sherlock, knight of the round tit. If women want to be in Gaming Journalism field, they have to take the same consequences as if this was a man who did it.

bigshynepo It wouldn't surprise me if that actually were to happen.

Wow, Totillo actually is listening to us instead of defending his journalists? This is fucking nuts. The one site that is like the pinnacle description of yellow journalism is changing their policies? If this holds true I might just reading them again!

Nah, I'd rather read sites like yours who hold other sites feet to the fire if they fall out of journalistic integrity.
