To clarify, in 1999 the FDA approved a health claim for soy protein (based on looking at the data from those collective studies)....stating that if someone consumes "25gms of soy protein per day as part of a diet low in saturated fat and cholesterol, it may reduce the risk of heart disease" . It was not a study conducted by the FDA.
I simply love this article, it talks about what I am doing for a living. I wish i could get some more details about soy.
