There is NO vaccine against Ebola. However, if you were to take the serum from a person who recently recovered from it you can help the body recognize and attack it since the serum contains that person antibodies. There is an injection which also helps but there is no vaccine to prevent infection. The "Medics" (A great term meant to imply a military relationship) were given 1) the experimental drug (female received) 2) The antibody laced serum (Male, although it is not an approved method it was developed years ago 1990's I think). The Disease ISN'T spreading around the world. By definition a person who is sick would have to infect others in another location (say London or New York) to say the disease was spreading. just because a person transports themselves and the disease doesn't mean it is spreading. The virus does NOT have a 100% death rate. The current variant is about 40-60%. The Zaire variant was about 95%. The Reston variant was 0% and Marburg is about 30% .

What I have still not seen is any reporting on the FACT that many animals other than pigs and monkeys are carriers of the virus, including dogs, though dogs don't appear to get sick. Imagine Ebola spreading through livestock, infecting farmers, those that work in slaughterhouses, butchers and even the general public that would be purchasing the contaminated meat. Russian work with Ebola since it was brought up. I know factually that Russia was using Ebola in weaponization experiments for many years. The purpose was to create a Hybride with the Smallpox virus (heck, why bother, if you made some simple modifications to smallpox you would have a great scary weapon and since Russian did so much research on hybridising smallpox and ebola they know lots about smallpox. Then, to top off the violation of the treaty, they started testing re-entry vehicles to deliver the virus (modified) to the United States. It is always possible of vaccine might be available , but I don't have evidence that it doesn't exists.

Why bother? if you have a virus that stays idle for 20 days then you have a very dangerous weapon.
