When you notice
that Hedge funds own a chunk of many of these publications...you start to
understand.

You understand why
you are led to believe that the Ring of Fire is all about Chromite and smelters
and expensive hydro and years away and bla bla bla.

It amazes me (I
say this sarcastically), that there is never mention of Noront Resources who is
a primary player in the Ring of Fire with a Finished EA that was submitted to
the MOE last December. This is the ONLY EA in the ROF that has been submitted.

They have a
fabulous nickel/copper/platinum/palladium discovery. They also have tons and
tons of chromite...but logically prefer mining the more lucrative stuff while
the longer term chromite talks continue.

It's funny how
media will lead you to believe the Ring of Fire is years away...yet..forget to
tell you about Noront's timeline and Eagles-nest discovery in the Ring of Fire.
They don't wish to tell you that the real cost to mining Noront's nickel is
minus 70 cents when you apply nickel and PGM credits...

I doubt this
comment will even be allowed to come out.

If it's being done correctly somewhere, it's not being done by the Ontario government.

The laws of unintended consequences. We want green energy. We want mining. The two just do not happen to be compatible in Ontario. Populist strategy - we can have everything, someone else will pay, meets reality.

Ontario needs to approve the easement which would allow an all weather road through KWGs lease holdings.
Last go around ....it took the Ontario government 2 years to decide that such a road would be of no net public benefit and refused the easement.
And then blamed the feds for not supporting their plan for infrastructure.
The ring of fire will never happen under the liberals.
But millions will be spent on "Development Corporations".

What I don't understand is why not build their own 300MW power plant next to the smelter? Electricity is only expensive if you buy it from the province because we have to pay for all the corrupt green energy contracts. If they build a stand-alone gas-fired combined cycle plant the energy costs would be relatively low since not only would they not be paying for Liberal party corruption there would be no line losses or transmission costs since the plant would be right next to the smelter. For even greater efficiency they can make the combined cycle plant a "combi-cogen" where waste energy is used for heating the surrounding buildings yielding inefficiencies of 90%. Ontario's criminally exorbitant energy prices should not be a barrier to this development.

Right next door Manitoba has a lot of cheap hydro power for sale with a lot more being developed.

Quebec is an equally attractive location. Rouyn is no farther away than Sudbury.

I am skeptical of the results claims. Chemical processes don't change simply because you change the energy input mechanism. However, natural gas currently sells for much less than hydro. Therin may lie the savings.

Ontario prospered under previous governments' inexpensive energy policies, then the Liberals stood everything on its head.

Where are all the enviros on this one. Ring of fire? Natural Gas, yikes, only in Alberta I say.

trevorz • 9 years ago

They're all being audited, they've all been quite lately.

windy132 • 9 years ago

lol. That's a good one. It is surprising how silent they become when they are required to abide by the laws of charity status. 10% for political activity. A charity as an advocacy group. I doubt it. The quietness speaks volumes.

I just recently set myself free by learning to trade and anybody can do this as far as I'm concerned you just need to go to the right place. Check out the website Emini S&P Trading Secret, just Google them you should be able to find them, these guys are really doing it right and make you wonder why everybody isn't like them. You can make $2000 a week trading all you need to do is learn how, if I can do it anybody can.

Everyone know that the government must fix the little problem it created at Lake Abitibi, in the Solid Gold scandal, before it can fix the big problems in the ROF

Guest • 9 years ago

Would help if the goof who once ran that half-penny company didn't refer to First Nation as "hostiles."

Digger Dan • 9 years ago

The evidence of hostility is overwhelming
