I have just spent over an hour going through this long list of to-dos... and guess what, it actually works. More than that, I was sceptical (like most, I would suppose) about the multiple programs mentioned to get rid of this bloody program, but even the later ones like AdWareCleaner were still finding traces of it on my machines, but it got through and finally deleted this annoying rubbish. So thanks Malwaretips, you are great, and if I wasn't a lowly student, I would be donating right now - be assured I will be recommending you to anyone who asks!

Thanks Stelani for the tips. Revo was the solution, but even it wouldn't uninstall conventionally due to an uninstall command string error. The forced uninstall did the trick through the back door by exposing the elements in the registry. I wiped out all the Client Connect registry components and it disappeared. I also uninstalled two C++ program installs that occured at the same time as the maleware, I found that tip during my research elsewhere. Your info has value and saved me money and time. I definitely support your work with a donation Stelani. Long live the Free Market and Voluntarism!

Many thanks from Singapore!! It took me quite a while to google every single suspicious-looking programme on Control Panel though (cos I am pretty sure I am not the most recent victim)...
