No wonder if you hear Pak saying, "We know 'denial' is not our enemy?"

nsrajan • 9 years ago

Usually, one knows one's enemy. Pakistan's tragedy is that it does not even know that 'denial' is its enemy. It only believes that until Kashmir is annexed by hook or crook, the humiliation of Bangladesh will not be avenged and that any and every means to that end is justified. It will burn itself out in this fanciful pursuit.

Terrorism is a creation of the so called civilised people. Human lives and cultured outlook are not valued in a sincere manner. They are just convenient tools in the political and economic games people play. We, the people all over the world need to change a lot to bring about a lasting solution to the problems of terrorism, mediocrity and lack of culture among people.

Recall Mrs. Hillary Clinton's famous words,"you can't breed serpents in your back-yard and expect it to bite only your neighbours".

Pakistan's main problem is lack of character. Their president comes to India for peace while their army lauches covert attacks to kill Indian soldiers on the border. They are envious of India and are just not interested in developing themselves.

Reading Quran 8.17 will enable one to understand why clerics and politicians serving the Theocratic Republic may have a reason to remain silent over the killing of innocent children.

Pakistan has many problems, not necessarily related to terrorism. Poverty, unstable democracy, improper administration of the country and their tribal-belt population. Considering the loss of American cooperation, military and monetary support, during Afghan occupation war to fight Al Qaeda,Taliban. Mujahideen Haqqani Network and some other small or large groups inside and outside of Pakistan, creating law and order situations with 'jihadi,' motives.

To control all these separate factions, Pakistan may have used one faction against another, making it more difficult for the state.

Let us just say, making Pakistan a Islamic Republic, as against India's secular state has added a new dimension. Who is to say, it was a good policy for Pakistan to help America? America has not been kind to Pakistan, even several dictators occupied the throne or during sporadic, democratic administrations.

Blame games played in Indian media, has not helped, especially, coming from the top echelons of power.

Pakistan, may turn mpre violent as time passes. A grave error would be to beat them up on every misbehavior. As the event, where school children were massacred, the attackers gave good reason. It was a vendetta. If so, Pakistan is, at least using their full power to eliminate these unruly factions.

Pakistan must have come to accept jihadi violence with stoicism. For a grieving nation in the wake of the horror in Peshawar,Pakistan's Prime Minister has approved the removal of the moratorium on the death penalty in terrorism cases. The rage that runs through the nation is understandable for
it demands revenge called 'capital punishment'.This knee-jerk reaction might upset Pakistan's human rights groups, much like in India.Maybe terrorism has no religion ,but a wounded nation like Pakistan or even India and US needs that such Talibans need to be terminated.

Unless the Pak army changes it's attitude and gives up the so called revenge attitude for creating Bangladesh by dismembering Pakistan, nothing will change,.Pakistan politicos simply do not have the freedom to act of their own.
