In this related YouTube video we find the least popular Congressional leader, Harry Reid, obstructing funds for children with cancer: http://youtu.be/O0lFyFJeZSY...

I wish that this issue was more about race then the Federal Government over reaching it's constitutional restrictions and mandates? If race was the question, rather then the diversion, then as a Negro crackhead, I would be appalled at your grouping all Negro's as either crackheads or welfare recipients. As a Negro I ask the question as being presented in this article: Are we better off under Federal protections or assistance then we were under the repressive authority of Slavery. but had the Federal and State Governments gave out land and land grants to the Negro as he did, as well as other Federal subsidies, as was given to his Caucasian counterpart would there be a need for Federal Assistance. Had the Negro be paid for his labor, during those years of oppression, would he need to be of such Federal welfare roles? A personal question I present to you: If your family who migrated from some part of Europe had not received the assistance of their complexion would you still be annexed to the papal or the cast system from which you emerged or would you have emerged? Europe was not a system of fair exchange of ideas or privilege, so your people migrated here. To take the attitude that you have of humanity is idealize of the European, but when cast against the history of your existence, while in Europe, is not as you present yourself to be. As a matter of fact I don't believe by your tone that you are familiar with the country from which your ancestors emerged. Not such a glowing history. If you wish I can give you a lesson in the history of European Culture.

Yes we know teabag, that FACTS are ignorance to idiot moros trolls like you. You and your party once again look like the racist, America hating morons that you all are, and you blame it on us. Did any of you ever progress from that age of about 5, when every bad thing you did was always the fault of someone else? Apparently not. The only ignorance here skippy, is the morons on the right that ran to this racist moron FREELOADER defense, and now they are left looking like the typical fools that they all are.

Butt hurt?

JNagarya • 10 years ago

The gun-nuts who back this ignorant moron _are not militia_.

From the foundings of the colonies, the militia was always UNDER the law -- well regulated -- and the leadership of the gov't, with the commander-in-chief of the militia being the governor. That remained the same to, through, and after the "revolution," and was embodied in the Constitution itself, including express stipulation as to the purposes of the militia:

Art. I, S. 8., C. 15. The Congress [not anti-Constitutional gun nuts] shall have Power To provide for calling forth the Militia to enforce the Laws of the Union, [and ] SUPPRESS INSURRECTIONS.

That reflected the consistent historical purposes of the militia even before there was a central Federal gov't.

Little Fuzzy • 10 years ago

My understanding is that the President is the Commander-in-Chief of the militias of the United States. State Governors do command their own state militia and National Guard, subordinate to the POTUS.

Nice try, but not a word in that whole comment about Negros being happier as slaves, which is the most idiotic statement a person with the intelligence ofg a gnat could say.

Where did Harry Reid or any other Dem wax nostalgically about the glorious days of black slavery?

D. Tree • 10 years ago

[I hope no one is surprised that an old man rancher isn't media trained to express himself perfectly.]

The corollary being, that Cliven Bundy expressed "imperfectly" what right-wingers like Loesch express "perfectly."

It's interesting that by reframing Bundy's remarks in the parlance of the modern day Republican Party, people like Loesch don't realize they are doing more harm than good to their own public image.

Not that I'm complaining, mind you -- it's not easy to tear your gaze away from this train wreck.

We should expect a "negro" guest or two who will defend Sean on his show tonight and I'm pretty sure Sean will ask Cloven if poor white people would be better off as slaves too.

Slash Firestorm • 10 years ago

Waiting for the conservative media to posit that Obama hired a Bundy lookalike to make these comments to discredit the real, noble, freedom-loving Bundy...to distract us from Benghazi.

NICEGUY777 • 10 years ago

As a BLACK MAN who is hard working, tax paying, law following, I also raises my son, after listening to this BS. I am so happy say "NEGRO PLEASE" to this closed minded cowboy. LOL By the way I am 100% against how the gov. handled this incident for cow tax. But after seeing this I understand how this problem has gotten so bad. Both sides have their own issues. GOD BLESS

Juan Williams • 10 years ago

Hear hear!!

flarrfan • 10 years ago

More than two sides, except in court and under the law, where there is only one side...a final and unappealable court order per binding appellate precedent. BLM law enforcement officers were following a judge's order to seize the cattle. They were armed because they were aware that Bundy had put out a call for support. They wisely retreated rather than escalate the confrontation. Please tell me what they did wrong. Also, no "cow tax," just the same kind of fee charged by any property owner to a "renter" who wants to use the property, in this case for grazing cows.

BillyBudd7 • 10 years ago

Bundy says "the Blacks" bear the mark of Cain.....

flarrfan • 10 years ago

Well, he was raised a Mormon under the "church" doctrine of the time, which wasn't changed until a couple of decades ago.

BillyBudd7 • 10 years ago

bin Bundy brands his cow with the circle KKK brand....

Lar5 • 10 years ago

Not a word on FOX. Must be a lie..LOL

flarrfan • 10 years ago

Actually, they had a virtual STFU moment on Fox when a Dem mentioned Bundy in comparison to Keystone XL eminent domain, and Gretchen cut him off quickly and changed the topic.

You could not ask for a more preposterously hypocritical, racist, clueless, yet somehow sanctimonious, blowhard than Clive Bundy. Even a vast 'treehugger-pinko-liberal-commie-empowered-lesbian' army could not design a better example of right wing stupidity than this man.

Thanks, Clive Bundy, for making it perfectly obvious how repulsive American conservatives really are.

Slash Firestorm • 10 years ago

I find it interesting that many conservatives support this clown, but have nothing but seething hatred for illegal immigrants. Their most common complaint is "they broke the law, so they shouldn't have any rights/send them back to Mexico/shoot them into the sun", right? You can mention that the vast majority of them don't cause any trouble, contribute to the economy, and only want what's best for their families, and their reply is "doesn't matter, they broke the law!".

What is Bundy doing differently to not be subject to conservative Paladin-ery?

Guest • 10 years ago

He is a mormon with 14 children. I'll bet he has a bunch of wives and a clan of "church"
folks.

flarrfan • 10 years ago

And raised under Mormon doctrine on race, which only changed a couple of decades ago for apparently political reasons.

Lizinbklyn • 10 years ago

Bundy has 14 children?

Dolly • 10 years ago

Yes, and 52 grandkids.

chukicita • 10 years ago

I've been waiting for something like this since the other day when one of Bundy's supporters likened themselves to "the new Indians." Why isn't anyone asking for a Paiute or Shoshone perspective on this?

That being said, I don't know what African Americans have to do with the Bundy affair down there in Nevada.

Guest • 10 years ago

I don't care about Cliven Bundy, but it's worth noting that "n*gro" was a politically correct term in 1970, used by The New York Times, and Bundy is a "senior" citizen.

uh, no.

BillyBudd7 • 10 years ago

He used "the negro"...plus he is taker a leech a freeloader who is he to point fingers at anyone..he is a punk...

orthotox • 10 years ago

You're right, friend. But, see, the "negro" term was itself a replacement term for "colored," being in turn replaced by "black," which, too, fell out of favor in preference for "African American;" this last designation also seems now to be approaching its own inevitable expiry date. The momentum for all these nomenclature resets stems from the persistent tendency of certain negative associations to accrue to the terms over time, a result of the persistent negative behavior of the people themselves, some of which said behavior being the focus of recent inflammatory comments by Mr. Bundy. Evidently the people in question find it more convenient to simply change their name instead of modifying the behavior which attaches to the name. Contrast the mutability of these terms with the relative permanence of other racial appellatives, say that of the Chinese, for example. Despite the horrendous historical prejudice initially arrayed against them, the Chinese in America were, over the generations, able to make "Chinese" a byword of diligence, intelligence and civility, thus proving that WE shape our names, the names don't shape us. BTW, look for a comeback for "colored" on the politically correct horizon - this is the age of recycling, after all, and we're running out of original newspeak.

Lizinbklyn • 10 years ago

Look, my Mom is 87 and she doesn't even use the word 'negro' any longer. Age is no excuse and he's certainly not suffering from dementia . . .

Ian • 10 years ago

You gotta hand it to the guy,he's consistent......He doesn't recognise the authority of the Government and thinks the "negro" should be re-enslaved.Very much Southern republican beliefs but most of them are smart enough to not be caught offering this opinion in quite such "black and white" (pun intended) terms.

The program wasn't always using cell phones, stupid. And it was started by Reagan, with the support of the Telecom companies.

Dolly • 10 years ago

Yes, just like we subsidized the electrification of rural America, we subsidized phone service for poor Americans. After a certain period of time, it became much more useful, for a similar price, to provide a cell phone versus a land line.
As the richest nation in the world, we should be able to provide electricity, phone service, and healthcare to the poorest Americans.

When Jon Stewart is the voice of reason, as he so often is, it makes me wonder just where the country is going?
Bundy is a deluded old man who should not be elevated by anyone as a hero, but it took a long time for the wing nuts to recognize that and some still don't. WHEW.

Just in case anybody wonders where these unholy, jackbooted, liberal Grazing Fees come from here is the link.....

Executive Order 12548 - Grazing Fees

"By the authority vested in me as President by
the Constitution and laws of the United States of America, and in order
to provide for establishment of appropriate fees for the grazing of
domestic livestock on public rangelands......

This Order shall be effective immediately."

It's actually older, the Taylor Grazing Act of 1934.
14 years before Bundy's family bought their ranch....
