What a great way to get kids to go to the museum. You Rock!

Ms. McGroarty,
I am sure that you do read this article and the posts. Please consider taking as many pix of what you do. Our children need incentives to study Science, the world around them, and dream of a future.

That sounds like an adventure of a lifetime!

voyager328 • 13 years ago

It would be so fun to do this!

OzarkLady • 13 years ago

And the best part is $10,000.

Jamesll, I agree with you.
I grew up about 15 years in Northern Ill, and LOVED going to CMSI. There is NO other museum like it in the world. NONE. Many that imitate, but still do not come close.

Yeah, I was moved to New England when I was 12. Man, the Boston Museum of Science is nothing in comparison. They rarely update the exhibits. Nice enough place, but nothing comes close to Chicago.

What a neat experience.

"This is day five. And she has to tell her daughter that she has to finish her homework before she can read my blog post."

Awww.

kbbackwoods6 • 13 years ago

I'd love to try that. It sounds really fun. Rock star? nah....

I *loved* that museum when I was growing up. So big, one day wasn't enough. She is really lucky ($10K is pretty sweet, too).

If I were her I might spend a night down in the coal mine...

VegasRage • 13 years ago

You can do it for free in any number of old abandoned silver mines here in NV, just watch out for rattlers and vertical shafts, they might make your stay less pleasant.

normal45 • 13 years ago

Now that is CREEPY.

ibook900 • 13 years ago

Give me 10,0000 and let me stay in a cool museum.

Something like "Life imitating art." Nighttime - isn't that the time the museum really comes to life? What a dream. I also grew up in Illinois & always wanted to see what happens behind the exhibits!

farhibide • 13 years ago

That would be very cool. I would spend at least a few hours of my time hiding in exhibits and surprising people.
