I am in favor of more background checks, jail time if your child gets a loaded gun and shoots someone, and the repeal of open carry which allows automatic weapons in a public place. Thank GOD, my child is 32, so I'm not as worried. However, it is a known fact that these weapons' bullets go through walls and display counters...and people have been injured. They shot a young father dead because they thought it was a real gun! Imagine being a cop on a traffic stop being gunned down with an automatic AR 15...never had a chance. I think it would help the police if there were fewer war guns on the street and in public places.
