Hoping all the CAM Ops, Moderators and Staff dealing with these storms are safe. When I arrived in Atlanta last night it is filled with evacuees from Florida. I am so glad to see the city is working to open shelters and help. If you are headed here the Atlanta Motor Speedway is open as a free shelter along with other places around the city. Wishing you safety.

MamaDenise I hope all is save in Atlanta and that what is left of Hurricane Irma doesn't come your way. My cousin lives in Jacksonville and she left for GA to stat at my aunts who lives just over the Florida /Georgia line!! Stay safe !!

All well here, rain and 55 mph winds expected between 3-midnight. Nothing compared to all those in Florida. One of my in-law lost there home at the Keys; my parents 90 yr old friend who was stranded with four friends in W. Palm Beach (they don't drive) is OK and now has power. My cousin is still waiting to hear about his home in Fr. Myer's but luckily he was in Virginia. So many .... such sad stories. Our church was filled with evacuees who fled here. Some with no place to stay. Thank you for asking.

I was afraid there for a while the storm was going to go to Atlanta and thought of you and your daughter. I am so sorry to hear about one of your in-law's looking their home. Ahey got hit pretty hard. I know it is heart warming to read out and help people with these kind of disasters.!!!

Absolutely, 100 % agreed. I still have him as my screen saver on my phone... :D What a character. I will never ever forget him, he's so special to me.

Defab, he is special to all of us and he was so commical especially when he would go out of the burrow and peek in under the rock as if to say "here I am "!!

It's a surreal feeling, knowing that he's much bigger now and out on the open sea. We won't be seeing him do that again any time soon... Next time he's in a burrow, it'll be his new family home with a lovely partner puffin :)

HI ALL OF YOU. All I see posted are 2 or 3 days ago. Enjoyed knowing and learning from each of you. Was a nice season, and hope each of you will return next year.

Enjoy the off-season :) I love autumn and winter, but spring is my one true love. All because of the puffins.
