The only way to avoid all these problems is to remove CCM government from power and appoint a credible one from all Tanzania citizen irrespective of party affiliation! PM always does not know what he is talking about! Running to China all the time to beg for money is considered self sufficient?
The debts are piling up big time, soon they will relinquish their position leaving behind huge baggage for poor Tanzania citizen to bear! Very disheartening with their arrogance!
Why complain after IMF has highlighted the issue of over borrowing? Tanzania citizen we have been highlighting this issue so many time but we are ignored, now he is fuming for being told the facts.

The fundamental issue here is misappropriation of funds. It matters little whether you're 100 percent self sufficient in budgeting for your expenditures. Pinda's reaction goes to show how crocked these people have become. They find it a big burden to let the CAG work through the IPTL numbers. They would rather protect and hide their dirty rather than promote the welfare of their people. Thankfully their impunity has been called out by the so called 'patronizing' benefactors.

Round up all offshore stolen billions of USD and return the money to the country to finance development programs. Dishonest and corruption is killing the nation, western donors they are just pushing a dead wood.
I have said before many times, the government which does not trust in its people to run the country economy and pay brush aside this fact by choosing to depend solery on foreign contries / companies is doomed to fail by all means.
What leaders never understand is any foreign country or foreifn company come to invest of build interest in the country based on their own missions, which is exclusively kept to their chest. What is displayed is the general format and this can be short term plans or long term one. Therefore what is required is for top government leaders to understand how they game is played so that there will be a balance in handling foreign companies.
After all not all foreign companies which the government has spent billions of money are investors, some are just contractors waiting to be paid by the government.
For example the proposed Mbegani port, in Bgamoyo, it is very wrong for the president to handle the entire project to Chinese companies without even having joint venture with local companies to execute the project. This is irrespective of whatever reasons behind the decision! These all counterproductive, they are repeating same mistake after mistake, year after year , decade after decade! There is no such thing us Tanzanians don.t know anything! There is domino effect when you involve your local citizen in the country development apart from telling them that they will get jobs. Entrepreneurship is natured, don't happen just like that. China also started with problems, but the had to accept and forge ahead until they succeeded.
The president continue to miss a point. Same mistakes were made in mining, infrastructure development projects, oil and gas, and new phases of infrastructure development they are repeating the same mistakes. This is opportunity where Tanzania citizen could develop their expertise to handle major projects, while creating profits for future investments. We can bring in Chinese companies but sorely on joint ventures with local owned companies. I hope the president will look into this and change the course, as he will be retiring soon next year, I don't think he will be comfortable to see everywhere he goes there wil be only foreign companies running all the projects in the country, while his brothers and sisters pushing Mkokoteni! He would be proud if he find that one project is executed by a company based in Kibaha Pwani and constructing a 50 km road! or Part of the Mbegani Port! This wil increase local business capability and at the time increase tax collection for the government! This how developing countries have emerged, India, China, Vietnam, Malaysia. In contrary to what the government is doing, I have not seen any developing country being successful without engaging its citizen fully in development projects!
The most stunning, our government keep on visiting country after country especially in Asia to learn how they have done it, but once they come back, they on it corruption, busy selling contracts to foreign companies for bribes!

The Prime Minister says the only way to avoid the current stand-off between the government and the donor community is to be 100% self reliant. He completely forgets that Tanzania cannot be self-reliant with the type of looting taking place in the country.

Two things we should care not to experience again in our life time are: expenditure incurred on Wabunge wa kuteuliwa and Mawaziri''S medical treatment abroad . It is very so very disturbing , our Government keep spending money on bringing home the dead bodies of ministers who had been known to be terminal ill before being shipped abroad for medical treatment. A case in point, Zambians after knowing their president MIchael Satta, is about to die for unknown long illness disease, they shipped him to London where he passed away after his ten day of medical treatment. In fact, They are now spending more money to bring home his dead body, than what it should be, if their president was treated at home. Tanzania had a similar case before, Let us dismiss this concept of ujiko ujiko , eti maiti inasubiriwa kuja leo kutoka London or Soth Africa or India!

have you noticed these two paragraphs
1: Earlier, the IMF statement said the mission hoped the government would
successfully complete the IPTL investigation and also settle its debts
to suppliers and pension funds.

and
2:On a positive note, the IMF team pointed out that macroeconomic
performance has been broadly in line with the programme, although new
challenges have emerged during the last three months. For instance,
economic growth was found to be strong during the first half of 2014 and
was expected to remain close to seven per cent this year.

and some kind of a warning here:
“We might not have Plan B at the moment, but we are monitoring the
situation and using the money we collect from our local sources as well
as what we get from donors, but our focus is to be independent
economically,” he said, alluding to a windfall in revenue from recent
huge gas discoveries.

First,
The donoers are also to blame. Dambisa Moyo book stated Dead AID. They got what they wanted without knowing their Goverment officials how dishonest they are. They went and worked with them, now it is getting out of controll. They thought by giving them houses, suits, Cars, Cash money and secreat account payment once or twice that will be it. The Tanzanian officials want more. The doners are tered and know the Tanzania opposition are heating up. Now trying to clean up their hands. None of those big investors got deals without big bribes. NONE.
2. Most of Tanzanians officials dont have any development plan of their own, some are incapable of doing the jobs they are given. They are easy to be manipulated and easy to steel more. For many people who dont have vision of their own, they are easy to be corrupted. If they were smart enough to say what took place, both these doners and some ministers will be inprison today. They cant even express themselves profesionaly. We dont need Donations which hurt our contry, jeopardising our deve;lopment, and steels our resources through those cheap money. Tanzania is reach in its natural resources does not need hand outs. Tanzania need equal partneship with equal respect . Instead of giving us donations which hurt our economy, invest with respect following the laws of the country. Do not use these aid to get freebes and not even pay taxes, or buy accordingly. Investors are the major problems to the Tanzanian economy today. Pinda is not an economist either. He is the big and major problem to the nation. His dealings with international is not profesional at all. We need some one inteligent, capable of his job. Cant even defend his deed publicly. He talks witout points.
