Putin will push as hard as he can just to see if his opponents will push back. He's a hardened KGB dictator through and through.

mwayne09 • 9 years ago

Wonder if they're still laughing at Hillary's reset button?

Paganpink • 9 years ago

You know they are. The sad thing is the US betrayed its allies and unilaterally gave up the planned missile defense system in return for absolutely nothing! The Russians viewed that as weakness and haven't stopped their aggressions since then.

CCCA1 • 9 years ago

The Democrat party's and Obama's racism is showing against central and eastern Europeans. Obama stabbed Poland and Czech Republic in the back by killing the anti-missile systems and now stands by with tacit approval as Russia bullies and intimidates eastern and central Europe. Any American of central or eastern European heritage that voted for Obama and the Democrats is a traitor to their people.

RedGA • 9 years ago

I hate to break it to you but Putin has seen US weakness since at least 2008 with the Georgia incident. Two Presidents in a row have been weak and Pootie Poot has kept on marching.

Tim Johnson • 9 years ago

Bush made the right call on Georgia. We were in 2 wars at the time, and the contested territory and number of people involved were very small. Obama is truly weak and incompetent on the other hand, had virtually no experience or success in anything prior to becoming president, and holds a completely failed belief system, unless you’re impressed with places like Chicago and Detroit.

kestrel6 • 9 years ago

A smart person would not instigate situations that would lead to exposing their weaknesses. When a bear is sleeping....don't be stupid and start poking him with a stick.

Todd Clemmer • 9 years ago

The Obama administration did that.

Jay • 9 years ago

Missile defense wont work against Iksander missiles.. they can take out any ABM system because they fly at too low a level to be detected.

BikerBen • 9 years ago

If Russia launched a missile attack on the United States, I'm sure Barack Obama would give the order to retaliate, within two or three months, after he read about the attack in the newspaper.

Michael Rich • 9 years ago

I'm sorry dude but are you stupid? Unless that ballistic missile flies at 50 feet, it will be detected, and could probably be shot down by any capable system (Patriot PAC-3, SM-6, or SM-3) given they are in range.

Tim Johnson • 9 years ago

You russians seem to be really cocky lately- your military isn’t squat compared to the west’s military, your economy is dying so that it can’t support a war, and your attitude of seizing territory and under the corrupt patronage rule of a scumbag like Putin will only make Russia hated- which won’t end well for Russia.

Michael Rich • 9 years ago

Considering you can't even spell "semi" correctly, and that's not even the correct name anyway. If you knew anything about it you would know it's a Quasi-Balistic Missile. And the argument that is is just as maneuverable as a anti-aircraft missile is incorrect, it makes small maneuvers to it's course which can change the outcome of the engagement significantly since the interceptor usually launches and predicts where it will be, so the small maneuver will totally throw off a interceptor such as the SM-3. But the SM-6 or PAC-3 would be engaging it in it's terminal phase which maneuvers would be greatly ineffective since the SM-6 is said to have some wicked maneuvering capabilities, same goes for the PAC-3.

So no, it's not impossible with current technology.

Baroke Insane Owebama • 9 years ago

Except they can be detected by AWACS or AWACS type systems.

Tim Johnson • 9 years ago

Then why do the Russians spazz out about them? If they are just posturing, then they really are evil and just looking for an excuse to seize various territories in Europe.

Andyj • 9 years ago

Like the USa does?
You are in Ukraine right now.

Andyj • 9 years ago

Russia's apparent aggressions made those same countries friends. How ironic.
The story changes when they found you were behind it.

Zombie Dog • 9 years ago

I swear that stunt was one of the least professional, most immature things I've ever seen at that level.
The "reset" button was a play on an American TV ad. Do they think THAT would have translated over to Russian culture?
And then there was the bad translation by the State department.

The whole affair said, "Hey! We're clueless amatures! You now get to do anything and everything you want!"

Booshcat • 9 years ago

They don't laugh, they dive into weakness. Unless you have been exposed to the russian mind, you would never understand.

james r. • 9 years ago

Actually that, stupid-prop employed by our former Secretary of State, translated in Russian to an "over-charge" button. Russians unlike!, Americans can very! easily recognize a tyrant!

Hawkdriver1961 • 9 years ago

Yes and relishing the day she should become president.

Dustoff • 9 years ago

I AM.... (-:

Guest • 9 years ago

Well, since it is AFTER the election, I assume he is taking Obama's word about flexibility and stuff.

Snitch_in_Time • 9 years ago

None dare call it treason.

konc2 • 9 years ago

Putin may be a KGB dictator, but we have the leader of "The Choom Gang" running our banana republic, and he is one badddazzz shuck and jive MOFO.

mwayne09 • 9 years ago

Wonder if they're still laughing at killary's reset button ?

mike • 9 years ago

You mean like how the US has been poking the Russian Bear for decade by surrounding Russia with "Missile defense shields" And now since Russian gas has been taken over by Joe Biden's son, yeah I think I would start ramping up my Military as well. You do realize this has all been set in motion by the United States of America and NATO? Right? you can think back farther than yesterday?

Tim Johnson • 9 years ago

Missile defense shields in countries which have been invaded by the USSR is hardly provoking them, it is simply defense.

Nexus5Forum.com • 9 years ago

Exactly. These eastern european countries have a history of being invaded, oppressed and manipulated by Russia throughout history. Now that they have their freedom from the clutches of the bear they want to protect that freedom. Nothing wrong with that. Russia has always been an aggressive, antagonistic country. Unfortunately, they've never learned that self worth and respect doesn't come from forcing yourselves on others but instead from creating and accomplishing things within your own country. Russia's economy is a one trick pony...just pumping gas and oil out of the ground. Putin is not sophisticated enough to build the Russian economy into a modern technological and industrial one like the US, China and europe, so instead he falls back on intimidation. Russia really needs to grow up. Their entire economy is smaller than the state of California and the world is getting fed up with Putin's temper tantrums. Perhaps he should go back to school and not plagiarize his thesis like he did last time. Perhaps he'd learn something.

Eddie • 9 years ago

Unlike the usa which is peace loving and non aggressive? Let's be real.. Americans lack logical thinking and common sense. No country attacks more countries then the U.S. "war on drugs" "war on terror" blah blah everyone is tired of all that bullshit. Yes the U.S. is strong enough to push most of the world around.. But don't act like they do it because they are moral.. They do it for gain and greed... Period

Tim Johnson • 9 years ago

Really? What did we gain from defending muslims from genocide in Bosnia and Kosovo, Somalians from starvation, Grenadians from marxist idoits? What did we gain from removing Noriega? You’re FOS.

Andyj • 9 years ago

There was no genocide. The Kosovan mass burials turned out to be Serbian soldiers. The Kosovans were the minority and started the civil war. funded by Albania.

You swept through Grenada and found a tool shed with guns owned by the local shooting club.

you're a FOS. every time a yank opens his mouth, he makes a fool of himself then lies after the fact.

Tom Jones • 9 years ago

You gain a better picture in the world by helping these people.

Tim Johnson • 9 years ago

I agree with you, Tom Jones. I was responding to Eddie’s assertion that we fought those wars just ‘gain and greed’ which is absurd and obviously false.

kestrel6 • 9 years ago

You need to take off the rose colored glasses. US foreign policy objectives and actions have nothing to do with helping the people.

Andyj • 9 years ago

All wars are profit taking campaigns.

Guest • 9 years ago
Tim Johnson • 9 years ago

Exactly. The rest of the world is content to let genocide go on unchecked.

Andyj • 9 years ago

All 30 million you lot done.

kestrel6 • 9 years ago

By whose standards? The actual dynamics you speak of are usually propaganda and manipulation. Think...problem (created), reaction gained, solution implemented....objectives achieved.

Andyj • 9 years ago

After 30 million murders committed by the US since WWII ended... Prove it.

Andyj • 9 years ago

So, Tim, its simply defence if Russia surrounds the USa with nuclear tipped missiles. It won't be provoking you will it.

Zombie Dog • 9 years ago

Putting up a defense has never been "poking."

You can think outside your self-loathing?

TheJokool . • 9 years ago

Zombie? hmmmm

Tim Johnson • 9 years ago

The farthest outside his box of self-loathing he gets is reflexive blind hatred of the USA.

Andyj • 9 years ago

Reflexive blind hatred of murderous warmongers.

Rob H. • 9 years ago

Of course, its all our fault. And it was France's fault for getting invaded by Nazi Germany. I mean, they built that big army, as if Germany was warlike and violent or something!

Greg Kay • 9 years ago

Actually, that was France's fault, if you want to get technical; they were the ones who declared war on Germany, not the other way around.

Camille • 9 years ago

Yeah, not really. France and the UK declared war on Germany AFTER Germany invaded Poland.
