Dude, please.

The reason steady state economics is not gaining traction has nothing to do with how it is spun or semantics about water resources.

The reason that it is not being adopted is that it is not in keeping with the needs and desires of the "people" in charge - corporations and the 1%.

Steady state economics is a wonderful idea that makes perfect sense. The problem is that, according to multiple studies and estimates, we are already far into overshoot. Get the population down to 2 billion, then talk about steady state economics. Until then, it's a pipe dream going down the same pipe that all of our expensively filtered and delivered water goes down when we flush our 'civilized' toilets.
