A late hour good evening to you C4P.
It's one of those nights where sleep just won't come easily, so here I am.

I've been reading the comments.

Why are we so worried about whether Sarah will run or not? We fuss, fight and fume over a decision NONE of us will get to make.

We endlessly and repeatedly re-examine every aspect and scenario of what Palin may or may not do. We continue to offer up "what if's" in regard to a Palin candidacy.

Many are of the opinion that she should announce 'right away' or 'she will lose her edge'. Others remind us that we should have 'patience'. I'm in the 'have patience' category.

And I suppose that others are having a difficult time and appear to need constant or near constant reassurance.

She will not be hiring any of us as her campaign managers, yet we feel that we have the right to tell her WHAT she should do, and HOW to do it. Seriously?
She has done quite well in life charting and following her own course. It seems to me that she needs our support, not our directions on how and when to campaign.

My fellow C4Pers, IF she is running, she will let us know soon, and if she is not going to run, she will let us know that too.

Bickering and disagreements as to what Palin should do is unproductive and unnecessary.

VG, you should post this sensible message of peace each and every day.

virginiagentleman1 • 9 years ago

A1, my hands and fingers are no longer under my complete control. Do you understand? As you may have noticed, I have been commenting less. Typing is becoming quite a struggle.
Dear one, if there are some writings of mine that you like, may I suggest that you save them?
Read between the lines Milady.

AmazedOne1 • 9 years ago

My sweet, sweet VG. I'm so sorry to hear that that is the issue. Yes, I've noticed that you were posting less, and was wondering the reason. Then again, we've already been seeing precious Refudiate's ability to type decline, so I wondered if you were walking the same path.

The good news for both of you is that the path you're taking leads straight to Heaven. Of course, the people around you want to postpone that as long as possible. I'm so glad that both of you have had the opportunity to prepare your loved ones -- and that includes me!

Yes, I'd love it if you'd give me permission to copy and paste and post these thoughts (and other old posts of yours) once in a while -- giving you full credit, of course.

virginiagentleman1 • 9 years ago

Of course you have my permission A1. I have kept it a secret up until now, but I have a rather severe case of arthritis in my hands, fingers and hips.

AmazedOne1 • 9 years ago

Ohhhh, -- hips -- that makes your fall the other day even more painful. I'm sorry! I'll be praying more specifically for you now, my dear! And, thanks for your permission. It means a lot to me!!!

iizthatiiz • 9 years ago

ty for sharing those thoughts VG. Yer absolutely right .. none of us know her intentions (perhaps she doesn't know herself). It's okay to speculate some, and offer analysis and scenario's as long as you bear in mind that you are just speculating. TV pundits very rarely make absolute predictions when discussing politics because no one has a crystal ball. Something could happen tomorrow that causes her to run. Something could happen next week that causes her not to run. There are infinite possible future events that can unfold that can alter the course of history. Wanting something does not make it so.

Milady Sarrissa, you and yours are in my prayers. It may sound somewhat odd to some folks, but I was raised that the very best thing one human can do for another is to pray over them. May God continue to Bless you and yours dear one.

January8 • 9 years ago

Prayer is love, VG. Nothing better than love in the whole, wide world.

maria • 9 years ago

You too Milady Sue. Good Night.

Restless?

virginiagentleman1 • 9 years ago

No Milady, pain. I can no longer remember a time when my lungs and chest were pain free.

January8 • 9 years ago

So sorry. I will pray the Rosary for you.

Hmmm. I wonder if he forgot about this event.

Jeb In 94: I Would Do ‘Probably Nothing’ For African-Americans

"Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush appears poised for a presidential run and is currently leading the polls among potential Republican candidates for 2016, but the comments he made in 1994 during his first run for Florida’s highest office may come back to haunt him.

The Associated Press reports that Bush described himself then as a “head-banging conservative” and used fiery rhetoric — such as claiming he would do “probably nothing” for African-Americans if he became governor — in his ultimately unsuccessful bid.

Bush made that statement in response to a question on what he would for African-Americans if elected to office.

“It’s time to strive for a society where there’s equality of opportunity, not equality of results. So I’m going to answer your question by saying: probably nothing,” he replied."

Judge Jeanine • Radical Muslim Terrorists: "We Need To Kill Them"

January 10th, 2015 • In a powerful opening statement, Judge Jeanine Pirro stated that there is no negotiating with radical Muslim terrorists. "We need to kill them." Policies that have allowed them in integrate themselves into our society are "assisting our enemy in our own destruction." "They have conquered us through immigration. They have conquered us through interfaith dialogue. And they have conquered us by co-opting our leaders into a position of embarrassment."

A good read:"Christine Flowers: Palin touches a new nerve in America"
http://www.delcotimes.com/o...

"But every now and then, Sarah re-emerges as a cultural lightning rod, someone whose simple existence still drives feminists to bitter tears and the men who want to date them (there are some) into fits of apoplexy."

M.Joseph Sheppard ‏@MJosephSheppard
Bouquet of flowers to Christine Flowers

Reynolds88 • 9 years ago

I really think the tone of Flowers piece is very condescending with snarky judgements of Bristol and infantile image creation of Sarah Palin and her life. No bouquets from me.

Guest • 9 years ago

A dozen red roses>

"I’m glad that Sarah lashed back out at the haters, refusing to apologize for something that is neither offensive, criminal or wrong. I bet that, secretly, a lot of others are too.

Wink."

PeterTrump PetretichTrump • 9 years ago

Btw, somebody challenged me today b/c I compared Sarah with a biblical Prophet. I will now up the ante:

Sarah Palin and I are BOTH, each in our own way, Priest, Prophet, and King. That is b/c we have been baptized into Christ who is Priest, Prophet, and King. In fact, we were both baptized as Catholics when we were babies. This doctrine about the three-fold offices of Christ being shared by all the baptized is the clear teaching of the Second Vatican Ecumenical Council:

"...the laity likewise share in the priestly, prophetic, and royal office of Christ and therefore have their own share in the mission of the whole people of God in the Church and in the world."--Apostolicam Actuositatem Paragraph 2

http://www.vatican.va/archi...

QED

So put that in your pipe and smoke it...

colint • 9 years ago

I do not understand your religious talk

I do understand Sarah's simple words as provided by ZH

Gov.Palin said about this issue: "

I would never presume to know God’s will or to speak God’s words."

These words seem to indicate that she does not see herself in some lofty role with characteristics of priestly, prophetic or royal. or want others to see her this way. She is one of us. She has also said "Who am I to judge".

PeterTrump PetretichTrump • 9 years ago

Not surprised. A lot of people can't handle the real deal when it comes to Vatican II and Sarah Palin...

AmazedOne1 • 9 years ago

Pete, this current explanation is talking about the general sense in which all baptized Catholics are a part of the body of Christ.

In contrast, your note this morning was talking about a different sort of prophet. It specifically asked about "the prophets of Israel." Then, it further solidified that narrow focus by using Ezekiel as the one and only example. It was much more specific than "all baptized Catholics."

To further show the contrast between this current topic and the other this morning, that note talked about prophets not getting started till they were 50. Well, if you had been talking about all baptized Catholics, then ALL baptized Catholics would not "get started" until they were 50. And, that's just not a accurate.

But, let's pretend that you were, in fact, talking about all baptized Catholics this morning. Well, many baptized Catholics do a LOT of good before they reach 50. Jesus Himself was crucified long before 50.

So, nope, the theory that prophets (the Old Testament ones or today's baptized Catholics) don't get started till 50 is not valid.

Edited to add -- Now, it's really late and I'm gone for night. So, if I don't answer anything immediately, it's not because I'm avoiding the discussion -- I'm simply sleeping.

PeterTrump PetretichTrump • 9 years ago

How DARE you challenge my teachings! Who do you think you are?

/sarc

jester2939 • 9 years ago

What Bible verse is that based on? I always ask that in dealing with matters of Christianity. Bible first. Btw, I'm ignorant of what was discussed earlier, and it seems like it was an argument. I have no wish to argue.
