Now THIS is an article Christians can support and learn from. Thank you, sir, from rising from the ashes of your sad, silly article about how the Dems paved over your town to a solid piece that correctly frames the root of the problem: STATISM. AN OUT-OF-CONTROL FEDERAL GOVT, not a political pary.

I could pick a bone in that it is not just the party currently in power that has been using environmentalism to push socialism, but your point overall was well made and I cannot otherwise disagree with anything you stated. Much better work this time.

So, if 97% of the climatologists say that we have caused the global warming problem and should do something to correct it, this is just some left-wing conspiracy? In my mainstream Protestant denomination, we were taught that we should be stewards of the earth for the next generation. Promoting ecology is not going to "enslave" anyone. I will trust the scientists before our right-wing friends, who don't seem to be all that interested in reality.

And if 97% of 'climatologists' are liars, are you going to jump off a bridge?
Happy landings.

Our paranoid friends of the right have never explained to me why 97% of the scientists would lie.

Greed, vanity and fear.
Duh.

Clint Batterton • 9 years ago

And your evidence of "greed, vanity and fear" would be what? Do you think that all science is motivated by "greed, vanity and fear" or just the scientific conclusions you don't want to believe?

Guest • 9 years ago

Yes.

Well, that's convenient. You can freely substitute ignorance and superstition for the facts by just declaring all scientific opinion to be untrustworthy, as predicted in a recent book on "The Republican Brain."

I can freely substitute, can I?
Gee thanks, that's mighty white of you,
but who told you I was a Republican?

"What I don’t see is how morality and righteousness can thrive in any nation where the government uses lies and scare tactics to increase its power and wealth at the people’s expense."
The government should leave the lies and scare tactics to those who are experts in those areas, such as Liberty Counsel and Matt Barber.
