Hey, the BIG news today is Republicans defeated the "unelectables" within their own party.
What part of 'unelectable' were they struggling with?

Made me laugh myself silly because it's true. Diana used to refer to the Royal Family as 'the Germans'.

If I remember correctly, Sarah Palin said that there should be plenty of debates so that Americans would know where candidates stand on the issues. However...

I'm surprised at some of the comments that have been posted to Sarah's FB. Here is a sample (before they disappear. Sarah's FB links to an article that used a two year old video of President Obama saying that he learning about an issue when he saw it in the media).
Renay Allen-Delrosario I don't care for Sarah palin. NoW
Anne Rhodes and your point? Come on Sarah....do something else...this Obama/Hillary bashing is getting old...your snarky comments aren't constructive...just makes you look small...you're better than that right?
Pauline Austin talk about ignorance, palin you have it all, maybe you should'nt voice your opinion, because you haven.t gotten any smarter.
Jamie Hallam You're the biggest hypocrite I've seen in the public. Just stay in the
shadows, Palin. Everyone is so quick to snap at the President. I'm pretty sure the constitution starts "We the people...." If WE want change then WE must make it. It's so easy to blame one person.
Janice G. Jacobsen Boo Sarah Palin, you are a nasty person

Here is a funny election story. http://talkingpointsmemo.co... A GOP candidate for governor forgot to bring his ID in a state that enacted a voter-ID law. The nicest part of the story is that the GOP candidate is Asa Hutchinson. I recognized his name from the Impeachment Trial of Bill Clinton. Hutchinson was one of the people who conducted the prosecution in the Senate. Here's some more information:

"Hutchinson was one of the House managers who argued before senators - a group that included his brother, former Sen. Tim Hutchinson - for Clinton's removal over lies he told about his relationship with White House intern Monica Lewinsky. The Senate voted to acquit the 42nd president of charges of perjury and obstruction of justice in 1999."

"There's 435 members of Congress and less than a handful actually conducted the trial in the U.S. Senate," Ross told The Associated Press. "For an Arkansan to say 'Send me to remove Arkansas' only president from office' shows how partisan he is."

"Ross also dinged Hutchinson's legal expertise, quipping: "He may be the only lawyer in America who has conducted a trial with his brother on the jury and lost."

(Ross, who is responsible for these comments is the Democratic candidate for Governor in Arkansas in this race.) http://www.arkansasbusiness...

Handel only got 22% of the vote. Even Palin's robo call didn't have any effect.

Linda1961 • 9 years ago

Actually Quitter's robo call may have had an effect, just not the one that Handel wanted. It may have cost her votes, rather get her votes.

So true.

"Koch Brothers Revealed in Damning Film Expose"

"Koch Brothers Exposed" lays out in one easily understood narrative a lot of previously reported stories about the political machinations of Charles and David Koch. To show why their actions matter, it adds the human touch -- the people who have been hurt as the fabulously rich brothers from Kansas pursued their ideological goals.

The hour-long documentary is an updated version of a Robert Greenwald film originally released in 2012.

Good timing on this. People are starting to take a lot of notice of the Koch brothers.

"I think most competent journalists would recognize "the persistence of bizarre claims surrounding the birth of any governor's son" as the basis of a potentially interesting story. Most competent journalists would also understand that the story doesn't work if it can't show that the claims are false. It's only a "bizarre conspiracy theory" if you can demonstrate that it's untrue, which is why we wanted to document the truth."

-Pat Dougherty, former Executive Editor, Anchorage Daily News, who remained forever unable to disprove the theory that Sarah Palin did not give birth to Trig Palin.

maelewis • 9 years ago

Looking back, I think it was better to let Palin sink her own boat in 2008. Every time she spoke, she let people see how unqualified she was. An attempt to show that she didn't give birth to Trig would have produced sympathy for Palin. She had to invent "victim status" to have people feel sorry for her. Rumors existed in Alaska before Palin became a candidate. However, Palin threatened to withhold access if the local media pursued the story.

Cheeriogirl • 9 years ago

" It's only a "bizarre conspiracy theory" if you can demonstrate that it's untrue, which is why we wanted to document the truth."

This explains exactly why Ms. Palin never provided any documents regarding Trig's birth. It's my belief that someone will, someday. In the meantime, it gives me comfort knowing Sarah has to live each and every day wondering if THIS is the day the story will drop, and her lies will be exposed.

Sarah has proven to be little more than a fraud and political prostitute. She thought she was ready for the big stage, never quite understanding she was simply being used by the GOP for their purposes. Now that they're done with her, they'll finish her off politically using whatever information they have at their disposal. If that means the Trig story must be "sacrificed" over to Karl Rove for his unique reveal, so be it.

KatieAnnieOakley • 9 years ago

I would bet there has been more than one or two or a dozen conversations about doing just that... how to do it to cause the least amount of political fall-out.

zane1 • 9 years ago

Above & beyond the false pregnancy I think there are even more dark circumstances surrounding the whole sordid event that she simply does not to ever be revealed. Certainly things that both Roger & Karl would both know & possibly use when they want to show her the exit for once & for all.

Freebird4 • 9 years ago

political prostitute!!!

maelewis • 9 years ago

And the latest from Sarah Palin's FB, clutching at straws, gasping for attention. She is airing a video from June 27, 2012. Actually, it's provided by another blog, but the it is not news if it is almost 2 years old. Sarah is really desperate for attention. Maybe she should take a page from Pat Sajak's Crazy Tweets Handbook and try some racist, anti-climate change insults. (It's just a screen shot of the video to show the original date of the press conference. It is a montage of President Obama saying that he learned of some scandal by hearing about it in the media. He needs a "hunting dog to flush out the truth." The photo shows Sarah and Chuck Sr. with a dog in the woods.)

KatieAnnieOakley • 9 years ago

Karen Handel is being beaten badly in her Primary. That makes her a two-time loser, and both times it was with a Palin endorsement - YOU BETCHA.
