I have been seriously ill and was forced to retire from teaching at the end
of the 2010 school year. I filled out my online application, had three doctors'
letters, and then faxed it to TPAF, here in NJ.

I was sent to two non-English speaking IMEs, one of whom (Goebel
Marin) filed a fraudulent report. I reported this doctor, who never even so much
as spoke to me, but nothing was done. Despite the fact that I had a
gastroenterologist who had been treating me for about 15 years, TPAF
took Marin's fraudulent report as gospel truth and denied my pension. I tried to
report Marin to the licensing board, but I was told he had no practicing
privelages in any hospital, he had been fired from his former hospital. I wound
up in front of an OAL judge, and despite the firm assurance that he would accept the new medical records regarding being newly diagnosed with cancer, he did NOT.
The judge also took more than double the amount of time he was supposed to take to render the decision, and the decision was rife with errors, reflecting that
he not only could not write, but he had held my records for a year and never
even read them. Interestingly, this Judge got his tenure January 2014, and
likely was denying me my pension so as to leave my funds there for the double
and triple dippers.

In May 2011 I was "granted" my pension. I called my attorney at the time,
and he told me to "cross my fingers". He never verified the letter. I received a
retro check for about $22K, and paid off my bills. A week later, TPAF dipped
into my bank account and stole back the funds over a week after the check and
the bills had cleared. The bank I use claimed stealing the funds from my account was an illegal act. My attorney was fired, as I firmly believe he had colluded to defraud me with the TPAF. I have had Mr Michael Barrett, Esq. since June 2011.

I received no apology or explanation as to why this had happened. This
caused serious damage to my credit score.

My attorney amended my application, as my cancer had occurred within the
two year period post retirement. Despite being provided letters from about 14
doctors, TPAF very vindictively refused to even read the records, just denied my
pension yet again.

I also had an issue with the DAG attorney, Thos. Hower, who represented
TPAF. This evil troll dragged my case on by asking for 17 postponements that I
know of. It became so out of control that the Appellate judges ordered him to
turn in his brief or be fined..

I am demanding an audience with whomever is in charge of TPAF. Whomever the "buck stops with". I want them to look me in the eye and tell me how it is that
I have SSD and Medicare, and have a 5 page listing of the disabilities SSD
acknowledged that I had documented---this is before my worsening of my blood
counts, my cancer diagnosis and very extensive treatments, the horrible
complications arising from my treatments (bowel and bladder leakage, chronic
vitamin and mineral deficiencies stemming from my malabsorbtion disorders, and damage to my right hand thumb joint which has just been surgically repaired, in a cast, then will be treated by physical therapy in a few weeks). My cancer is still active (uterine carcinosarcoma); it will never be in remission. Lumps appeared in my left breast after my radiation was finished March 2013.

I am NOT WELL, and I have 14 treating physicians on board to confirm this.
I want someone to look me I the eye and tell me precisely WHY I am considered
well enough to work when I can't even leave the house because my bowels leak if I am on my feet too long, I cannot drive more than about 20 mins and some nights I cannot sleep because I have diarrhea all night. There is no-one who can help me get justice--and my pension. TPAF appears to be unsupervised, and
unchallenged. Just like our Governor. Not even Watchdog, who is a voracious advocate for justice, will help me get my pension--which speaks volumes. Even HE can't beat through the wall of BS and corruption our Governor has built.

Is asking for someone to look me in the eye and tell me why it is that they
"believe" that I am "just fine" when I really am NOT well-- too much to ask? I
DESERVE an explanation, especially for the horrible hostility and vindictiveness
my attorney has personally witnessed from those supposedly on TPAF's board. This is one of the pensions that "feeds" NJ Gov Christie's "double and triple
dippers".

I need something done asap, as I am in serious financial trouble. If you
cannot help me, could you please point me in the direction of anyone who can
help me get my pension??.

I can tell you who cannot and will not be of help, just to save time:
Florence Sheppard, Mary Ellen Rathbun, Michael Weik, the Governor, and Senator Van Drew. Your immediate attention in this matter would be greatly appreciated.
I believe that in light of the shabby handling of my case some kind of damages

This has been going on forever - the taxpayer is getting scammed by the unions. I know two teachers who retired before age 60, collect at least 80K a year in pension and work at another job. So they are taking a job away from someone who actually may need it. It's such a joke - and the joke is on the taxpayer.

The teachers are not collecting another state pension. A teachers pension is 60% of the average of the last three years. I doubt someone is collecting 80K a year as a retired teacher.

In Texas, injured workers are constantly stigmatized for malingering and faking injuries. I'm not sure if we have any public officials double-dipping, but I wouldn't be surprised if we did. It would be worker's comp insurance fraud to have an injury and then work without reporting the wages. Additionally, states that term individuals totally and permanently disabled should be held accountable to the taxpayers by proving the use of their monies is warranted. However, NJ is a major epicenter of government corruption. If the people are raising hell about it, then no one will really care. I think it's great WatchDog has exposed the abuse, but it does nothing if the voters don't care.

Public unions are suffering from being too successful, they were able to get contracts that are so good that its going to bankrupt city and state budgets.
