Are they seriously saying that the Moghbazar flyover can withstand continental drifts? Because that's what a Richter scale of 10 is. Continental drifts, volcanoes, gysers and new tectonic plates being formed.

The highest recorded earthquake ever is the Chilean earthquake in 1960, which was 9.5 on the richter scale. There are only six earthquakes recorded between 9-10. Earthquakes of magnitude 10 and above come only once in 1,000 years.

Srsly, where do these people even learn Civil Engineering?

i. no i didn't argue it's high because they teach abstinence. There are schools which teach abstinence vs schools that teach sex-ed. And schools that teach abstinence have higher rate of teen pregnancy vs schools that teach sex-ed. Why? because those who are taught sex-ed know how to have safe-sex.

ii. "and the 'possibility' alone should not defeat a policy, but we must also never forget the consequence." granted.

iii. I will argue that you cannot have high human social development index without sex-ed. Sex-ed comes before high HDI, not after it.

I. It's not my argument. It's an argument backed up by research. I have linked said research which compiles data from 48 other sources.

further, the highest rate of Teen Pregnancy is in sub-Saharan Africa (143 per 1000 cases), not in any American or European country.

You will also find that teenage pregnancy is highest in schools (in USA) where they teach abstinence vs where they have sex-ed, showing you difference in micro-level.

II. No I am not saying there won't be errors. Nothing in the world is error free. I am just saying it can be minimized.

III. Thailand, Indonesia, South Korea, Japan, *partially* India. In South Korea teen pregnancy rate is 2.8 per 1000 cases, which I believe is lowest in the world.
