Either way, Web Developers will be loosing out again this year.

Unless Microsoft develops IE8 with Windows XP and Vista in-mind and pushes it as a NECESARY update for both platforms, developers will still be in the loss because we will still need to maintain IE6 operability for the mass-market share.

Why is the wide-spread acceptance and similarity of standards still not accomplished? The internet should've been built that way, in my humble opinion. I mean for goodness sake people, I'm only sixteen and I'm already annoyed with this.

That is true, but Opera does have a native implementation of SVG as images (including background-image) which should allow for those features. Its not ahead in CSS3, but it can still achive the same things :3

I have something that can be used (its written in JavaScript), but it works for the average blogger who wants one.

I'm a 17 year old student. My current computer is a crappy Dell Inspiron E1705 that I upgraded to 4GB of RAM. It works fine, as long as its plugged in. It's very low battery life makes it practically just a portable desktop.

I need a mini-laptop for the portability that I just don't get with a Portable Desktop.

Perfect Sense, considering that spammers have recently been hijacking accounts and using Facebook Chat to send excessive spam messages to all users on the friend's list, its a wonderful implementation by Facebook. Lets hope the bug gets resolved soon, eh?

According to the Kindle website you can play music while reading a book, you can also play AudioBooks, so theoretically you could play Podcasts as well.

You can post MP3s. Post them as links and Facebook will even pick up the Meta data embeded in it and show a little flash player. At least, thats what it used to do.

Sure have. They not only "can't" do anything about it; but by policy refuse to. My tweets are apparently too low quality to be indexed for search.

Because of this, hashtags don't really work anymore.
