I can't tell you how many hundreds of times in the past years that I've been a little bit or a large bit down about something and you three geniuses have brought me to sheer happiness. All I have to do is put on one of your albums or play the "Sad Song" video and I realize that even if nobody comes to my party, I can still have endless joy. You simply make this world a vastly better place to be, and I love Heather, Annie, and Erika for everything you've done for me, and for my friends.

If you think Lisbon is awesome, you should see my car when I rock your CDs. Every time I play your CDs is my Lisbon. You make me want to measure stars in the backyard.

Re: HELLO, POINDEXTER! - We just got back from upstate New York where we...

For some reason, this picture totally reminds me of the end of Sixteen Candles:
http://futureboy.us/images/...

Au Revoir, Molly Ringwald! :)

Re: HELLO, POINDEXTER! - “RECYCLING WALL-E CLEANS UP THE STREETS OF ITALY”
...

That also reminds me of one of my favorite old children's books, "B-9, The Hungry Metal Eater" which was about a giant space robot that used to follow comets and eat their debris, but then crashed on earth and started eating cars and stuff. Awesome. Did you ever read that one?

When a robot has to maneuver among people, one wonders if they'll help it or hinder it. Kasie Kinzer performed a fun experiment in New York--letting a little cardboard robot go in a park, with no navigational ability, carrying a flag that asked people to help it get to the other end of the park. And they did indeed help it! See http://www.tweenbots.com/ . Unfortunately, there used to be a video there, but it's apparently gone now.

P.S. I saw Au Revoir Simone in Boulder and you made hearts and happy green gamma radiation shoot out of my head. It was the best show evAR! You were all so nice! Heather, you even signed my record after the show! I wish I had known about your blog(s) before because now I have questions and astrophysics homework problems for you! :)
