It's like the author has never heard of https://editorially.com or other non-code collaborative editing tools. It's strange to me for her to argue for really wanting to use the same hammer as everyone else to pound in some nails... You don't have to use this tool to do the job.

Geeking out is how GitHub was successful in the first place. Imagine if on week 2 there was someone in the room suggesting making sure that they embraced non-developers. So far the graph is up and to the right. Why pivot to non-developers now?

Thanks for the traffic! I developed Twitter for Netflix just to play around with the API and it's been picking up a few users every day just by word of mouth.

I agree that if a site is linked to on Twitter, the vote should count. I'm not sure what the impact would be on Twitter's struggling infrastructure if Google was crawling and following all the links. If it's high, that might be another reason, besides spammers, that they're using "nofollow". Somehow, I doubt the impact would be too much. Also, I got here from your Tweet. :)

That international drunk call was one of my more expensive purchases in Brazil... that and then the accidental one that my phone made in my bag to someone I don't remember in the states for 19 minutes. Last time I forget keylock? Probably not. Sorry to hear about your illness, but good to hear that you're starting to feel at home - scary as that may be.
