Well one of the significant features that attracted me to the Tuneband was the fact that you can easily access the phone's screen and use it without removing it from the case during the run. This is actually why I've never run with my iPhone before. So I'm not interested in running with the X-1 Momentum, nor am I interested in trying to run with my iPhone 5s period.

I accept that this phone is simply not engineered for usage during long distance runs and leave it at that.

Switching OSes really isn't a barrier for me. I don't depend on any iOS only software or services. So when I'm ready to move on to my next mobile I will be looking at android phones (Sony Xperia, Samsung Galaxy) that offer decent water-proofing and thus can be used while running without as much risk to my wallet.

Beware of the Tuneband. If you sweat when you run it is highly likely that you will end up with sweat in your iphone. My iPhone 5s was a complete loss and I had to pay $270 for water damage replacement.

Apple store staff refused to believe that sweat alone could have caused the amount of water damage that they observed in the phone.

This is the first time I've been disappointed after following a Wirecutter recommendation. I can't agree that this is the best iPhone armband when it has such a significant potential downside. I would suggest that this review be qualified with a strong warning about the potential for sweat to enter an iPhone 5s through the sim card slot when using this armband.

That said I think the real problem here is Apple's hardware engineering which seems to prioritize placing water sensors in the phone over adding even rudimentary waterproofing to the sim card slot.

I have grown to expect better from Apple, but it looks like it might be time to consider some of the competition if I'm going to run with my mobile.

haven't used webby, myself, though I've heard of it. I have quite a bit of webgen experience (it was a somewhat painful learning curve, though) Site looks good. Nice use of webby + CSS + jquery

Just curious, what were you using webby for? Hope you enjoyed learning these things...
