My visa is issued by my employer also in Basel and I was informed because my visa is issued by a Swiss company i could not live anywhere but in Switzerland, due to the fact that i hold a U.S. passport. Is there any truth to this?? I would assume i could obtain a residence visa from Germany and live there and work in Basel just as yourself, but there again where would i start to obtain information on the legalities associated with a situation such as this???

Thanks for your time any information would be helpful.....
