Don't worry about feeling "lazy" - new job, lots of travel will sidetrack even the most dedicated runner. Seeing all the people at the finish line will get you jump started again.

That's a really good time considering the wind. White caps on the lake are never a good sign for a race.

I've been to gyms like this, franchisee owned but the owners are rarely there. They usually don't last very long either because they over-extended themselves financially or the allure of owning their own business was too much for them. In this economy, I don't expect that store to be around too much longer.

Agreed, great race report and excellent time. Pretty much covers everything I experienced during the race. That hill starting around mile 4, yeah could of done without that one but it was a fun way to start the day.

I think I saw you at the start but I couldn't figure out how to introduce myself without appearing like an Internet stalker. What's the protocol for things like this? "Hi, are you Gibtown? I stalk you on eth intarwebs"

I'll be there. Not sure on a goal time with the wind and hilly route of Mitch Park but it will be fun.

Glad you guys are OK. Based on your map, I live in the division just west of yours (Copper Creek/Fenwick). I ran the neighborhood during my lunch hour and counted 8 homes with roof damage, several downed fences and two trampolines far from home.

We got lucky and my thoughts go out to those folks in Lone Grove.

I agree with Jodes. They look a whole lot better than mine and you're a braver man than I for linking them.

And running after a half-mary with only one day of rest is awesome. My quads are still sore from those hills.

I was feeling the same way. Cruised up to mile 9 and yelled an expletive when I turned up that first hill. Those suckers slowed the pace a good 25 seconds and had to walk around mile 13 before the turn into the final stretch.

You did a good job on a tough course especially after coming off an injury. With a hard half out of the way, you're going to have a blast in Phoenix.

Yep - the half. Don't have the miles for the full yet. I'm shooting for 2:00 but will be happy just finishing.
