It seems you are trapped at the end of the systems furniture. Perhaps a trap door under your desk that allows access to the IT closet is needed? It must be fun to design your own office space ahead of time.

Re: Photo’s #frommydesk

I can totally relate to the the "magazines to be read later" pile. Licensing is handled at the state level with the appropriate licensing examination board. Most states use NCARB to assist in training interns through IDP but have their own requirements in addition to those set by NCARB. Describing yourself as an "Architect" in any state while not actually being qualified will set you up for prosecution, litigation and/or legal action as warranted by state law. Best advice is to pass the ARE and follow your state board's requirements.

Re: Brooklyn Public Library

Itz Fndmntl.

Re: That awkward moment when I show you my portfolio

I too was reminded of Aldo here Jody. We had to read and dissect all of his treatises and then travel to Modena and all parts Italy to see them in person. Other than Modena the reality never captured the idea embodied in the sketches. You might like the book, "Condemned Building" by Douglas Darden. I think you will be able to relate to the hand drawn sketches found within.

Re: Kansas City Convention & Visitors Association

Sorry but I do not get a sense of anything KC related with this new logotype. At least the older logo referenced the KC skyline. Even on Willoughby's site under "Identity Elements" not one reference is made to one of KC's best assets, it's fountains.

Re: With Windows Like These Who Needs Enemies? There are at least two examples that have been shared above that are slightly better versions of the panther logo. The word mark on the other hand still leaves something to be desired. The font type itself feels like something out of the early nineties and does little to support the icon itself. Further development should have been implemented.

Re: G+me: collapse the Google+ stream into a real-time dashboard

Any chance of a Greasemonkey script for Firefox to do the same thing? I mean I was there during all of your moods: Neo-Classical, International, Post-Modern, Deconstructivist, Folding and now Green. What a fickle mistress you have been. Many a long night we have toiled together in our Studio and yet in the end you leave me because the money is not in it? Have you no shame? No scruples, no moral compass? Oh what a tangled web we weave...when we first act to deceive. We might have fat-fingered the double "s". For the record the editor of this blog has personally visited this and other works by Scarpa and was thoroughly impressed with the attention to detail in all of his projects. It should also be mentioned that although this is the final resting place and chapel for the Brion family, Scarpa himself is buried in a non-descript corner of the attached communal cemetery adjacent to the area photographed.

Re: Happy Holidays '08

No we have not stopped writing posts.
