Crazy reactions... LOL Personally I totally regret buying a diaper bag. I never really used it! I stuffed everything into the stroller and just went with that. I still have the barely used bag. If you can get a diaper bag that could be used afterwards for other things I think that would be way more useful :D There are some really amazing diaper/camera bags out there that I wish I could justify (tho I don't even have a camera, but they are beautiful bags!) LOL!

My girl has known that a Cat which she calls a Meow Meow are the same thing for ages in all her different books. So I am so not surprised E would go for a book with a cat in it :)

I think that's part of why I stopped my blog altogether. I just didn't feel right :) Thanks for this post. Its nice to have the thoughts I already know validated. LOL I know everyone has crap days, but whats the point of over sharing the bad stuff, right? If you give the bad stuff too much focus, it all becomes bad stuff. Focus on the positive and the rest comes :) <3

You have such a good way of stating something so that it is succinct and compassionate at the same time. I used Enfamil and then Similac with my girl so at one point or another I used affected products. (My Similac use was well after the recall) It's scary because there is so little true standardization of formula protocol, and we really do need it, and not just another round of "everyone needs to BF". It would be lovely if everyone could BF, but it just doesn't work that way...

My girl wears the same pjs for 2 or 3 nights in a row. I mean she's only wearing them in bed... If I can, why can't she? LOL

I have heard many good things about Nose Frida as well. My girl won't sit still long enough to go anywhere *near* her nose when it's stuffed... frustrating for both of us. I too propped her mattress up with a rolled up towel at one end, we have Vick's Baby rub available here (it's a lavender scented mild version of regular Vicks) which we put on her chest, back and feet and made sure that she couldn't rub at it. Also baby Advil is good if teething at the same time.

The myth that breastfed babies don't get sick is just that, a myth. It stems from the fact that BF babies are more likely to be kept around the house/around mom. They don't often have to go to daycare where a baby is likely to pick up colds and illness. My friend breastfed her little girl and that baby was sick about every 2-3 months. She would get it from other people around her. My girl has only had 3 mild colds in 13 months (as in runny nose, slight cough and nothing else) but was only BF for 6 weeks. But like most BF babies is home all the time and doesn't have to go to daycare and isn't over exposed to too many illness vectors.

I view Christmas the same way. From a non-Christian standpoint I still celebrate Christmas and acknowledge what it means to Christians and will teach that to my daughter, but what Christmas is for me is family, memories and connecting with people. (Also good food ;) and much celebrating!) So I agree that Hallowe'en is only a day, and a day can only be given meaning and significance by people. So I hope it means fun and memories and good times for family (and a little candy never hurt either!) :D

Awwww... what an awesome amazing perfect video. I'm crying now. Her birth experience was very similar to mine.... 46 total hours of labour, tho I started naturally, I had an epi and had to have pitocin to keep the contractions going. Took forever to get to 10 cm and then I pushed for like 3 something hours.... and she was so stuck that the forceps couldn't even get her out. I had a c-section tho I didn't have to go under.... What a beautiful boy.... Way to go Sam and Quentin! :)

1) Yes, yes it does. And it still is at her almost 1 year birthday. It is scary sometimes but I still have massive amounts of hair so I'm not worried :D
2) I lost all the weight in 6 weeks (PPD) Don't know where I am now, but I look pretty much the same as before...
3) I TOTALLY AGREE!
4) Again, agree :)
5) Not nursing, but when I was, it's all I could wear. Regular one wouldn't fit. lol
6) Yup. Totally. AND YES TO FOOTIE PJS!
7) Schedules are so good and help them get so awesome at sleeping when they get older. Bedtime routine is super important. We always start at around the same time, and she goes down pretty easy (Unless she is teething, that's a different story.)
8) Never been for movies much :)
9) That didn't happen to me... Is that weird?
10) AND YES SO TOTALLY TRUE :) :) :)
