Since then, django-compressor has gotten new project owners and now does everything django-css does in addition to being more actively maintained. I'm going to write up a migration guide and suggest that people migrate over to django-compressor.
I also consider clevercss to be pretty much a dead end at this point too. LESS, SASS, and Compass have much more active development and I don't see much value in clevercss anymore as a real project. For what it's worth, these days I use LESS.

Re: Announcing django-cachebot

Yes and no. I use it and just updated it so that it works with Django 1.3, but there are a few types of queries that will throw errors that I haven't gotten around to fixing yet: https://github.com/dziegler...

Some optimization could also be done with regard to memcache queries and cache invalidation, but right now it just hasn't been a priority for me because I haven't hit this scalability wall yet. Hopefully someday...

Re: http://blog.davidziegler.net/post/370368042

Whoa, just saw this. Django automatically uses the in-memory SQLite database during testing, because on environment setup or something it renames your database to ":memory:", so either way should work.

Re: django-urlcrypt

My mistake, I was thinking of python-mcrypt

Re: CSS compilers rock

Hah, well this post is over a year old...but yeah, if I were starting a new project I would probably use LESS or Sass. Those two are in active development, and being able to continue to write with CSS syntax is helpful for converting existing projects, or if you have team members who don't want to adjust the way they write CSS. The only downside is that both of them are in Ruby, and since I'm not a Ruby guy it's not easy for me to hack around with the source if something goes wrong or I want to change something, but that's a small price to pay.

Re: Programming Gloves

http://photos-e.ak.fbcdn.ne...

Re: See Which Twitterers Don’t Follow You Back In Less Than 14 Lines of Python

You're probably right, I have less than 100 for both so I can't really test it out :(

It should be fairly simple to fix though, just loop over the api call. This works for me: http://pastie.org/714245

but again, kind of hard to test since I have less than 100 followers. Let me know if that works.

Re: CSS compilers rock

The clevercss page has some examples and more documentation: http://sandbox.pocoo.org/cl...

but here's a quick example:

http://pastie.org/708597

Re: Bee Happy!! - There’s something wrong with a software developer...

Yes, because java is teh sux.

Re: Sikarra

Haha, no, I was not aware that existed.
