ummm I think you will find that you pay more for an iPod Touch and a seperate cell phone compared to an iPhone that does both. The iPod Touch now costs £100 more than the iPhone... then add that to the cost of buying a separate smart phone... not cheap!

Burleydude- I would say its worth it! like you said it cuts down the number of gadgets you have to carry.. it also avoids the chance of missing calls when you are plugged into your ipod (I was so amazed by the way it fades music out and in before and after a call). It also makes emails, internet and other simple functions so much easier and at your finger tips. No more crappy mobile internet... It is like having a mini Mac in your pocket!

The phone does like its juice though.. so i would personally refrain from playing games on it. There is nothing more frustrating than a dead phone when you are out! Also, not everything goes into the magic landscape mode when tilted, e.g. email!

If you are a email freak and lives and works by email like lots of these city workers in london, then iPhone is not for you, get a Blackberry. The apple virtual keys are just not the same as having actual buttons to press... less accurate and not as fast. If you aint one of them and is a mini gadget queen like me... or king in your case, then there is absolutely no excuse for not getting one! There is simply no other gadget quite like it!
