Battery life is half what it used to be even after a second update in the UK from Samsung for stability problems. Funnily enough I flashed back to KitKat and my phone ran great again. Tried Lollipop again and the same issues. Even seem to have the GPS searching a lot now as well. Also a lot of apps I use don't work properly on Lollipop which is very frustrating.

Re: Destiny Beta gameplay first impressions: Is it set to be the best game of all time?

I've played both the Alpha and the Beta and the Alpha was good, the Beta is superior in every way. Graphical step up, sound seems crisper, more options and variety. Played single player and Co-op through levels, and as the missions go on you may want to buddy up as the difficulty ramps up. However it's great either way. Not played any PVP yet, focused on the mission based stuff but I can only say it again for a Beta it is stunning. If Bungie can improve it further before release I'll be seriously impressed. I'm not a big shooter fan but this has me hooked, completely.

Re: European Playstation Plus Content For June 2014 Leaked?

I can see a difference this gen, Sony are giving you free games. If you don't want it don't download it. Personally have enjoyed resogun, dead nation, don't starve and outlast. Probably games I wouldn't have bought but have helped to fill the gap between bigger releases. Without the Indie titles there would be no free content to give away to PS4 owners. There isn't the back catalogue that the PS3 and even the Vita has.

And on a side note I can't wait to pick up Dragons Crown this month on Vita. Been waiting for this one.
Oh and how do you know games aren't any good if you've not played them???

Re: Competition Time – Pixel Junk Monsters

Neo001001 (EU)

Re: Contrast – A New IP on PSVita

This looks like an interesting title. Seems like Nokia have realised they have to try to improve the C drive on the 97 for it to be more stable and user friemdly.

Re: If they only knew then what we know now: Back in time with the N97

One other thing I'd request would be that the vibrate option was made more powerful. All I know is when I had the N95 8gb I had a full reception almost everywhere I went. Now on my N97 I struggle daily. Sometimes only a restart will get my signal back. Even at home I struggle. It is my main niggle. What is the point in a mobile phone if you can't use it as a phone. I love all the other features like gravity and facebook widget etc. But the main problem for me is the reception.

Re: If they only knew then what we know now: Back in time with the N97

As mentioned on Twitter agree with all of the above and feel the N900 anouncement just after the launch of the N97 really stole it's thunder. Yes I agree a new launch is always coming and it probably wouldn't have been such a blow had the N97 launched earlier in the year. I think the N900 will kill any longevity the N97 might of had. If you know anything about phones which one owuld you pick out of the 2? Also and this is the main reason I'll be trading my N97 for the N900 my signal sucks and has from day one. This is a known issue in the UK. Not sure if it is the same internationally but I'm sure I read that some US residents where having this issue on Nokia.com. Was hopeful a firmware update might help the problem but no. I reckon it is the antenna itself. Tried my sim in old N95 8gb and full signal nearly all the time. Back in my N97 hardly anything = Nokia Fail. I hear the N900 is shipping in the US. Fingers crossed it does here too in the next few days.
Oh and even after 2.0 I'm having to regulary restart my phone as it fails to load webpages or open emails. But hey other than that I love my N97, no honestly otherwise I wouldn't be a fanatic !

Re: New Ovi Maps 3.0 Version From Nokia Beta Labs

Is it just me or does the lack of a post code locater bug anyone else? I got my N97 a day before the official release to the Vodafone network so it is a fairly early model. It is however on the latest firmware and much more stable than it was but my general signal quality is still very poor. I used to have the N95 8gb, I live in the same location and had a fantastic signal on the N95. However as soon as I got the N97 my signal quality dropped through the floor. I have tried a new SIM from Voda but this made no difference. I've read around on the forums and this seems a widespread problem. This may cause me to jump ship as I can't use the phone mostly for it's primary function. Other than that loving the phone.

Re: Your Complete Guide to Unbranding your Nokia N97

I used the nemesis suite to debrand my nokia the moment I received it. Worked great for me, able to upgrade the firmware as soon as Nokia release it. Amir how do you find the signal on your N97?

Re: New N97 Facebook App From Nokia Beta Labs

I think this app has potential, however the image download issue is a real killer. Plus I kind of like the app that came pre-installed in that it gives you up to date status updates on the homescreen rather than having to scroll through like the new app. Still kudos to Nokia labs, they're putting new apps out their and have listened to us in the past.

Re: The N900

Whilst I love my N97 I am having signal issues with the phone, as are a lot of people in the UK. Having seen the N900 I feel a bit bummed as this phone looks like everything we were promised the N97 would be. I'm torn about keeping the N97 which is great as a mini laptop but struggling as a phone or moving to the N900 when released. After all it's primary use is as a mobile phone and it's not always usable in this way. Also I am still having memory issues with my C: drive. I'm down to about 4mb and bleeding memory fast. I've done all the usual tricks, clearing the cache and dmgr files. Also all apps that can be are on E: drive and I've cleared as much as I can but the memory keeps dropping but thats another matter for another thread ...

Re: Sports Scores On The N97: ESPN Mobile Does The Job

Hi Fruitsalt,

I don't think the internal N97 alarm allow's you to select certain days. However if you download DA alarm from OVI store this gives you more options, you can select certain days only rather than just week days etc. It also gives you a nice digital alarm clock display if your ever travelling etc.

Re: What I’d Like To See In The N97’s Near Future

I use Videora N97 converter.
