In fact the tax laws should also be changed to make interest from Fixed Deposits tax-free. Why should MFs be given this privilege only? MFs boast about having Researchers and Analysts. What benefit has accrued to investors by having them? Their Equity funds are doing as badly if not worse than the Index. Why did they not try and protect the investors by disinvesting at the right time and holding Cash instead of shares that have now lost more than 60% of its value? The so-called  Researchers and Analysts in MFs are highly over-rated, over-paid and over-sold - and the consequence is that we investors suffer. The Govt should punish the MFs for this.&lt;/p&gt;</description><dc:creator xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">dsdutt</dc:creator><pubDate>Thu, 18 Dec 2008 22:07:54 -0000</pubDate></item></channel></rss>
