Cheers.

Re: Roti tisu - Devi's Corner

I'd love to try saravana bhavan after your recommendation, but it's going to be a few years before I get back to Malaysia. I've been scouring London's Chinatown lately for dry wonton mee, but I can't find any - very frustrating.

Re: Roti tisu - Devi's Corner

I suppose I was too generous, although I did say 'fairly' wholesome. I've not actually seen them cook this - I've seen them cook the masala tosai and it annoyed me that they sploshed that with ghee too, when all the recipes I've seen don't include ghee.

I'm going to change it down two points to 'grey area' because of the ghee and my uncertainty as to how it's cooked. I can't take it down further because it is balanced by the lentils and chilli etc in the dhal and the whole thing being vegetarian and otherwise not too fatty.

Thanks very much for your feedback and keeping me on track with the health ratings. I always feel a little cheeky rating other cultures' food for health. I do miss Devi's.

Re: Egg mayo sandwich

I've got an odd underlying fear of putting mayo on warm eggs. Perfectly safe of course if you eat it fairly soon, so I know it's irrational. I may force myself to do it next time just to get over it.

-is ashamed-

Re: Red snapper and mushroom tofu

Hmmm, not sure - I think it's because I don't post the actual photos on tumblr, but host them on flickr and add the links into the text posting. More control that way.

Re: Towels for Everyone

4am!

aaaaaaaaaaaah...

duh.

Re: Towels for Everyone

Wow, this on Fox?

Now I *am* confused.

No, hang on, it's just them putting enough out so they can say they are not (purely) instruments of the war-mongering, murderous, constitution-shitting-upon, despotic, lying, brainwashing, death-cult elite. This is so they might not get hung from lamp-posts alongside their masters when the rest of America eventually (what will it TAKE?) wakes up.

-slightly less confused-

Re: Eggs trying to hide

Thanks sukie, it hadn't occurred to me that they might be 'hiding' in order to elicit attention and cuddles. Intriguing.

Re: Steamed meat dumplings - Dragon-i

Ha-haaa, my evil plan is working...

EAT
