I'd be curious to know how the number of showings relates to the number of active listings. Something to normalize the data. Since we are experiencing such a dramatic shortage of listings, there's more to the story than a decrease in showings.

I spent last Wednesday afternoon in my first ARMLS Tech Committee meeting, this past Thursday morning at AAR, and then the afternoon in a SAAR Board of Directors meeting, where I heard a number of perspectives, mostly surprise and disappointment. Now, after reading this press release, I'm looking forward to hearing more specifically about SEVRAR's questions and concerns.

I squatted just over my body weight (135 lb) last week for the first time ever. 5 reps, and I&#039m 55. Age doesn&#039t matter when it comes to trying new things, and feeling strong. Had never even considered trying until I started reading your blog. Thank you for the inspiration!

Ricardo, Thanks so much for the mention! I finally ordered a Kindle yesterday, decided it was high time for me get on board with the technology. Setting my blog up was so easy, and I'm excited to see just how user friendly the Kindle is now.

Thanks so much for reminding me that this was on my list of things to do! The tip about not showing the business address was just what I needed to make it happen. My home office is in the heart of the area I work, so it was important for me to have presence. I just didn't want to broadcast where I lived. And to think, it was a simple little check box.

I delayed getting into / onto Facebook as long as I could, knowing that inevitably I needed to have presence there also.

Funny how addictive and connecting FB it turned out to be for me. Plus, now I want a Like button for comments on every blog I read!

Perfect timing for this post as we layout the groundwork for the next REBCPHX. We have a smaller team, may have a smaller turnout, but the focus is very much on the content and fluidity. Taking RE to the next level on a face to face basis. Just like we do individually every day.

Reading this timely thread, I was thinking that it was time to go back and look at the original barcamp intent. Perfect. I love #4, and I did #8 in SF and had a blast. Love the interactivity and the sharing that comes with less structure and planning.

I do think there was a spirit of REBarCamp. The first one in San Francisco rocked my world.

Evolution happens whether we want it or not. Right after the first REBCPHX, I had a conversation with someone, where we were hypothesizing what REBC's would turn into, how we could change to tap into the organic nature of the early camps, while growing to accommodate the growing interest and attendance. We really came to no conclusions, other than to agree that it would be interesting to see what REBC would evolve to, a giant relatively unstructured meet-up, or a full-fledged conference. There's got to be room for both, probably right along the lines of your idea of a camp within a camp.
