I am all for filtering and streamlining this SM process because you either run it the way you want or drown. With CRM, RSS, E-mail, VM...etc. The key is balance, wish I had any major tips. Hopefully more folks will help here. I will check back. Thanks for starting the dialogue....

Re: Is This How to Market Your Product?

This is becoming more evident in the Twitterstream. You will see that they do not even stagger their post with Tweetlater of whatever software they are using. I have seen in the public timeline up to 5 accounts hit with the same message, very easy to figure out what is happening here. I know that Twitter is starting to block same messages being retweeted from an account I was doing a twitpoll and ran it for a post every 3 hours for 2 days I wanted to get a certain number of responses and twitter blocked some of them. All so I was helping a smallbiz consulting company with a survery on tool development software and a couple of my posts were blocked.
Everyone is learning as we go on what works and doesn't your example is a fail all over. Shortcuts really don't work in the longterm and for a solid biz they need to look longterm not short.

Re: Sarah Palin Shuns Press: Talks to Twitter, Facebook Instead

The chance to control your words and messages within the Social Media context will continue to grow, once they are out there, then others will put their take on them just like it is happening in this comment section. Social Media will continue to change until it becomes Social News the channel that most of us will get our news.

Palin is tired of the press and their take of her and her family, so she will use the tools that she feels will work for her agenda. My take -I like people that are focused on the things that are important to them and take action- I may or may not, take or like your position but too many folks are just sitting on the sideline. Hopefully as we move into this new arena we will be willing to listen more and learn the details before always siding so quickly with our preset filters on everything.

Oh heck... we can't change maybe our kids will.......

Re: It’s Time For Wicked To Grow…

Mike,

Look forward to your posts. I am in a dealership and putting Social into its biz model. I just started and posted my welcome to my world of making things happen. www.smallbiztwit.info
The areas I am looking to expand is the intergation of my social areas into all their biz processes and the area I am most interested in will be the use of our existing CRM system with ADP and combining its effectiveness with the listening aspects of Social media.
Also the biggest area I will be dealing with is change- of mindsets, customer service thru opening the social area of the business, and the changes that can be driven by this openess, so any articles on driving change in a biz will be welcomed.
I thank you in advance and will be reading in my reader your blog daily. Best of luck.

Re: How to Make Your Tweets More Useful

I love the Hootlet button for your tool bar- you can run all your twitter accounts there. So as your reading your RSS feeds and find interesting articles to send out you can set them up over the course of the whole day or even longer. I try to set up the tweets for a large portion of the day in just 20-30 mins in the morning. Also you get a top bar frame that goes with it that rebrands you as people are reading it.They can RT from there and also share it in a multitude of ways.
Have not used the last 2 you posted but will check them out - thanks for the great post.....

Re: Meet the new Chief Marketing Officer of United Airlines – Dave Carroll.
