My Dad covered part of the walkway between the house and storeroom with that stuff back in the 50s. There is still a section hanging in there. He had the green and the beige panels.

Went to see it at the El Dorado theater across from Park mall, 1968, stoned on acid & hash. The giant red curtain in the theater would have kept us entertained for hours had not the movie started. Unforgetable night.

One of my alltime favorite movies. Saw it in '59, I think. My uncle took us to the drive-in (Midway Drive-in on Speedway). It was one of 3 sc-fi flicks. Can't remember the other. ,

I have that copy of Classics Illustrated, but with a different cover illustration. I think this cover is a redo from the original which is very colorful with a more 'comic book' style monster with lightning bolts etc.
