In fact she takes the 9th graders on about 12 trips each fall to the various "green" spots in the city.  I think I wrote about these for the textbook.  The imagination comes alive.  Not only is she an active "birder" which is nature in your face, but she is also driven to get our Philly Mennonite students literally in the dirt.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The Einstein quote comes to mind, "Imagination is more important than knowledge.
