I was carrying my daughter age 3 at the time when we were hit as pedistrian by a 16 year old driver who was speeding and driving with a frosted window in Iowa in 2005. We both sustaine significant injuries, my daughter a life long head injury. The youth paid a $35 fine and went to the homecoming dance that night while we fought for our lives in the hospital. His parents fixed his car and he was back on the road immediately. It was not and accident it was neglence. I hope his family does a better job of helping him learn from his actions. I'm so for kids cars having black boxes that alert them with a sound when speeding as well as a visual monitor for parents bein required. </p>dragonflyrnMon, 03 Aug 2009 15:30:02 -0000
