Thank you all for your comments. Jacee doubts it but Daniel lives it and, I think, is making a difference. Amy askes if I'm running for anything and the answer is no. Well, I have started running but it's to lose weight. My "rhetoric" was written four years ago, before Obama entered the picture. Still, the purpose of this piece is to make one think, dream and be inspired. In that sense, at least for some of you, it seems to have achieved the goal.

I think Ben has a future in commodities trading or some other highly competitive field. Love the picture of the boy holding his sister's head. The caption should probably read; "Mom, how do I put Brittany's head back on?"

Really? You shovel a place and put a piece of lawn furniture in it to place dibs on the spot. I've never heard of such a thing. But then, I am a Seattle native so why wuold I? Never been a football fan either. Or, for that matter, a fan of any team sports. I'd rather do something myself rather than watch grown men play some game grade schoolers can master. I hit the trails (there may be snow!), or ride my Harley, or play drums, or cook, or drink wine, or hang out with other non-team-sports-loving friends.

I had at 9 AM meeting on 9-9-09. but it was uneventful. I don't recall what I was doing at 12:34 AM on May 6, '78, (12345678) but I know I only had about a year left of college. I do know that 1, 5, 7, and 13 are all prime numbers (as are some numbers that are bigger than 1). I also know what 1+5+7 equals 13, which seems odd. My building does not have a 13th floor, but that just means that's what the 14th floor really is.

Hey, that's great. I've been trying to get back in shape too. Seems like everytime I start again in earnest, I end up with a sore elbow, shoulder or something that throws me off track again until it heals. I guess at age 52, it's time to start stretching out before lifting weights, etc. I must be getting old!
