I wouldn't take Westbrook much higher either, but if I'm going high risk/reward for someone who can outperform draft position, I'd take a long look at Russell.

Can you teach width? I think a lot of guys in the league think so.

Not saying you're wrong, but I've got a sneaking feeling that Westbrook gets taken before pick 73. There's always a run on PG's, and someone's going to be pissed they didn't get Rondo or Evans.

Boy, the Thunder must be getting good - the sure sign a team in real life is good is that they don't have a lot of fantasy producers. For the antithesis, look at Golden State.

I would have no problem taking a late round flier on Serge Ibaka, like 11 or 12.

E, I think Bosh takes a serious hit with this. FG% and rebs should be okay, but Bosh's best feature was his FT% with high volume in the PF/C slot. Wade and James each got to the line more than Bosh last year. If they keep up their FGA rate in 10-11, Heat games could be brutal to watch.

But between James and Wade, I see Wade suffering a little more, just because I'll think he'll take more 3's and maybe not get to the line as much. Assists should be fine, and steals may even go up since I think he'll be gambling on D more.

I'd be a little worried having any one of these three come fantasy playoff time, because who knows how much time they'll take off in March/April. Orlando being in the same division will help that.

For some reason, Basketball Monster does not have any stats for Utah players last night. It they did, they would have Mehmet Okur's sick line of 27-7-3 (11-17 from field), 3 three's, 3 steals, and 2 blocks rated high, if not highest. KGOT (Kevin Garnett of Turkey)?

If you're going to play Derek Fisher, I guess he would have to start, because he certainly won't be the energy guy off the bench. No reason to give him a bunch of minutes or let him shoot 7 times a night. Why not get miles out of Shannon Brown now while he's on the roster and before he opts out to let some team overpay him with an MLE deal this summer?

Re: Utah vs. Orlando - I benched Vince Carter this week, figuring there was a good chance for a 3-11 in him at least once. This might be the case tonight if he's guarded by the likes of Wesley Matthews, CJ Miles, and Ronnie Brewer - three guys who I assume get PT for reasons other than shooting and scoring. I could be seeing a Rotoworld update at around 8:00 EST saying, "Vince Carter limped off the floor in the second quarter. Check back for updates." Of course, if Kyle Korver is on him, all bets are off. (Do a Google Image search on "Kyle Korver defense".)

I think that someone figured out years ago that Paul plays better when he's pissed off. Of course, if you had to play with Mo Pete all these years, that might have something to do with it.

And we're still not at Kobe-in-2006 levels of dickishness (dickocity?). Let's wait for behind the back bounce passes 30 feet from the basket for that.

You do have to have talent to play 24+ minutes when you clearly don't have it. Really, his night wasn't that bad. He only missed 2 shots. You can't have been looking for him to score more than 12 points anyways. Once you have 3 TO's from your center, you're kind of screwed, so with 7 flubs you can't lose TO's twice in a week. I'll always take 12 boards, and getting 5 blocks in 1 game is the sort of stuff to win a cat for a week. There, completely rationalized Oden. Sucks PTL has to play HOU again this week.

No excuse for Scola though. Glad he was on my bench.

Nice look at round 2, E. The selection of Aldridge at pick 18 - in chess that could possibly be noted as N-K5?! Maybe it will work out, but I have to believe LaMarcus would have been there at 31.

That was a serious PG run at the end of round 2. I can't say any one was a bad pick, but a lot of non-guard talent got left on the board.

Get some green tea or whatever relaxes you, because round 3 has been a doozy.

Caron Butler - drafted him the last 2 years. He could screw me because he only plays 55 games or I can not draft him because I think he'll only play 55 games and screw me that way. I'll be sure to hydrate with Caron Butler.

It's what needed to be said - wish I had thought of it! I hope the peoples realize that with a little less myopic drafting, you could have a team that could finish 3rd in FT% (still 10 points) and not get killed in boards and blocks, and maybe have guys who will approach 75 games.

With that lineup, I could go to battle in H2H most weeks - not the perfect D-12 H2H lineup, but doable.
