"Alford Gets Two-Year Extension", was the headline on today’s Journal but there was a sub headline "UNM Fees, Tuition Up 8 Percent". That makes one wonder what priorities the journal has, sports or scholastics. I think UNM should fire all of their coaches, the Athletic Director and even replace the president with someone who will put scholastics ahead of athletics at UNM. And just maybe the Journal will change their priorities and make “UNM Fees, Tuition Up 8 Percent” their headline.

Fire the Football coach, The Athletic Director, and the President. Then go hire a President like Popejoy who deemphasized sports at UNM.
