While I was there, I suffered another stroke (I had a stroke 2 weeks prior to that the end of May, 2011). The doctor at the eye clinic had My wife take me to the Fayetteville Arkansas Veterans Hospital Emergency Room and while I was there, they did an MRI of my brain. They sent it off to Alabama (because it was after hours, they had to send it to Alabama to be read, they said.) After waiting 5 long hours on a gurney - which in the meantime I had lost control of my bladder and bowels and laid in feces and urine without anyone checking on me - my wife cleaned me up and told them to get me released because she was taking me back to Fort Smith, Arkansas. While I was at the Fayetteville Arkansas Emergency Room, it was packed with people (veterans) on gurneys in the hallways and anywhere else they could stick them waiting to be seen and taken care of. They admitted they were very short staffed and did not have the personnel to take care of everyone in a timely manner. I have contacted attorneys who ask me to contact the media. The local media here in Fort Smith refused to carry the story or even talk to me - so the attorneys advised me to contact other media in hopes you will let people know how our veterans are being treated (and mistreated). I do this not for myself, but for my fellow veterans and the veterans who will be soon coming home and will need their services. It was a disgrace to be treated like that and humiliating having to lay there in feces and urine and then they tell me they have sent my test to Alabama and had no idea how much longer it would be. Because of this delay, I was not able to have the clot busting medicine that I had received 2 weeks prior during my first stroke. They not only endangered my life, they took away my dignity while they did it. I served my country with honor dignity and pride. It was taken away from me that night. I also suffer Parkinson's Disease which made matters more dificult. I am asking for your help so this does not happen to any other veteran who willingly fought for America and all Americans. We (they) deserve better than this!!! Please let the American people know what is happening to our Veterans. Please.
Mr. Lynn E. Emergency Room in Fayetteville, Arkansas. At the time, my blood pressure was sky high and I had an intense headache, and she said with my recent history, it was best for me to go get 'checked out' at the Emergency Room. My wife took me to the E.R. and while I was there, they did an MRI of my brain. They sent it off to Alabama (because it was after hours, they had to send it to Alabama to be read, they said.) After waiting 5 long hours on a gurney - which in the meantime I had lost control of my bladder and bowels and laid in feces and urine without anyone checking on me - my wife cleaned me up and told them to get me released because she was taking me back to Fort Smith, Arkansas - where we live and where my neurologist is. While I was there, the E.R. was packed with people (veterans) on gurneys in the hallways and anywhere else they could stick them waiting to be seen and taken care of. They admitted they were very short staffed and did not have the personnel to take care everyone in a timely manner. I have contacted an attorney here and in Houston, (who both of them told me to contact the media about my story. The local media here refused to carry the story or even talk to me - so the attorney advised me to contact the media in Houston in hopes you will let people know how our veterans are being treated (and mis treated). I am asking for your help so this does not happen to any other veteran who willingly fought for America and all Americans. We (they) deserve better than this!!! Please let the American people know what is happening to our Veterans. Please.
Lynn E. U.S.A. needs Christian Conservative Leadership.

Re: War-time presidents and lost popularity

This nation (U.S.A.) is a country in need of leadership. And that leadership should be good old fashion conservative Christian leadership as what this country was built on. Liberalism and communism are destroying this great nation. Jesus came and delivered TRUTH. Now it is almost against the law to be a Christian. I for one served Honerably during the Vietnam era. I put my life on the line that we can continue to have FREEDOM, but our freedom is fading away. How sad.
