This is awesome, thanks for the tutorial.

This is actually a great foundational introduction for someone interested in learning Haskell or other type-heavy languages like OCaml. I find it's easier to learn by building off of primitive stuff you already know and transforming it into more advanced stuff, which is the building blocks of other languages.

I said Ivy League "law degree" for a good reason. The type of people who are career politicians. It's not a bad thing to go to a good school, ever. There's more to being a cliche elitist/globalist than going to Harvard or being financially successful.

Plus Bannon's childhood was working class, he didn't go to their private schools (Canadian politicians are even worse for this).

Frum was full of platitudes and made a bunch of cheap shots against Trump to pander to the audience. Just because he made them laugh more doesn't mean he won.

The votes were 57% Bannon vs 43% Frum. Which was wayyy higher than before it started.

Trumps admin has certainly gone downhill without Bannon. Love him or hate him Bannon was representing the little guy in regards to bankers and the elite. Many of Trumps advisors now dont have the balls to do this.

If you dont know who the "elites" and "globalists" are then you're a lost cause. Hillary Clinton was the perfect example of this. Aka the anointed-one who was pre-determined by the media and party and establishment to be the next leader.

The fact everyone bought into the left AND right for decades and they consistently failed to deliver is why. Trump didnt represent either the traditional left or right. Hillary was the absolute definition of the traditional establishment, and lost because of it.

They are very much anti-hyperbole on this blog. So it's not surprising that they want to push back against labeling Royal Jelly as an amazing magical solution to a problem, like many nutritional companies love to (falsely) claim.

Read the last sentence of the article, it's not a good wound healing substance on it's own, it would only be useful if humans artificially isolate rDef-1. That's not very magical.

Indeed just because the US is slipping into authoritarianism (only fools think Trump is when the authoritarianism is going to start) that does not give Russia a free pass to be similarily authoritarian.

It's true the US forces phony moral values on other countries while letting their spy agencies take over in quiet. As long as it's covert or regulation through a thousand small cuts then the US is fine with it.

But Russia is even worse at not being self aware. Theyve destroyed any polticial opposition and is now run by a single party. How is that different than a dictator?

As much as Russian loves Trump they would never have let an outsider anti establishment person to take over power and kick out the long embedded corrupt elites in the Kremlin.

So spare me the comparisons. You're no better. Just not powerful enough to force your will on others like you used to be in 1945-1970s.

This is not an example of the Russians taking a "libertarian" stance. Libertarians are against government intervention *except* when it comes to violence between individuals. They belive in a strong court as an alternative to a big state. Even the most hard core Anarcho Capitalists support the non agression pact (Google NAP) which does not in any way condone domestic violence, regardless if it's the home or not.

This is selective justice by an authoritarian government. Legalizing domestic violence is not a fight for individual liberty in any sense. It's lawlessness and abuse of power.

The only question I have is whether it's already illegal and this law was just adding special laws for domestic cases. Which I'm not sure is warranted. Violence is violence should be evaluated equally. If they need extra protection then invest more resources in enforcement and prosecutions. Don't just hand over blank cheques arrest criteria.

Yes I would gamble real money on it. But the point it to help people not win.

I would bet a button styled just like the blue one on dropbox.com that says download would convert higher than the text links. (otherwise same UI, no forms or anything).

Except I'd make it a red button, because my own tests confirm that color converts best.

Secondly I would tell them to stop complicating things with home/office decision when it comes to downloading a trial (the customer can decide when it comes to buy). That's actually a whole UX issue in itself that A/B test patchwork wont fix.

Third, if this is their most popular page, they are missing the opportunity to educate users more (for ex, wtf is home vs office, give me a link to a comparison chart).

Agreed overall about "marketing-not-working" but thats a fine line. That button design looks spammy and over-used now by spammers.

A standard, more understated bootstrap or Zurb foundation style button (with noticeable red/green/blue color) would likely have been more/equally effective as the text link.

I'd bet money on it :)

Those button designs look kind of spammy. They are more noticeable but they look like the fake download buttons you see on filesharing sites.

You have a technical audience for this product, I'd be wary of treating them like the average simple user. Keep it clean/simple/logical. Not flashy.

Lavabit had 410,000 email accounts when it closed (see their stat page, it's still online). The US is destroying serious large businesses with it's heavy-handed surveillance.

A report just came out that because of the leaks, American tech businesses are predicted to lose $35 billion dollars from customers moving overseas for fear of intrusion.

We should add this to the tally of "collateral damage" done by the war on terror.
