Appreciate and respect your POV. In the words of Ron Burgandy, I think we'll have to "agree to disagree" on this one John. What you read as "insecurity" and "portraying women as weak," I read as being honest, telling it how she sees it, and bold.

Got it. I guess I didn't get the impression she was looking for sympathy. Who says she's a victim? Not Brooke, right? Or did I miss something? My interpretation is she was just telling her story about why she left Google and why she took this new job. Sounded reasonable to me. I appreciated her honesty. No?

This is why we are friends @Bryan Kramer. Love it. To Marcy's point - a valid one - I also love hearing the "really cool" things happening in others' lives. However, the line is fine. If the majority of what you say is about how awesome YOU are or what YOU are doing, it's too much - for me.

Think of it this way, imagine walking into a room of mixed company - friends, family, acquaintances, and a whole mess of people you do not know (but they kindasorta know you). Imagine shouting the following: "WOW! So cool to make another Top 10 list!!!"

Whoa. Right?

To me, it's no different doing that on social media vs. a big room of mixed company. Same idea, different forum.

Again, nobody is perfect. I humblebrag. I brag. I do MY BEST to limit the occurrences, and really really try to only brag/humblebrag to close family and friends - in private.
