Me gut instinct is revulsion. Another vampire show, another show tainting,my memories of a great film. (Maybe not great, but very good?)

Then again, Let The Right One In did kind of lend itself to road movie, ever evolving location Fugitive kind of vibe. Shows have started with far less.

Okay, I'm intrigued.

At least let's hope for a nice Sam Cooke CD compilation soundtrack. Perhaps even a decent covers tribute. (Covers and decent rarely go hand in hand, but one can dream.)

Excellent discussion. For myself, A League Of Their Own has not only stood the test of time, but remained enjoyable and lost none of its luster. Unforgiven on the other hand doesn't offer me the same joy that it once did. While I can appreciate the quality of performance I don't enjoy watching it. (At least I didn't the last time I popped in the BluRay.)

I've only seen two of the listed films. (CitizenFour ans Battered Bastards of Baseball)

Being a long time baseball fanatic I'd love Battered Bastards to get some recognition. I had never heard of Portland's team prior to the film, but I've had their team photo as my screen saver since.

I certainly embrace Mrs. Marshall's return and covet a film about the Negro Leagues I might call for a different subject. Effa Manley was caucasian. Several African American women did play in the Negro Leagues and may have made an equally compelling subject.

Still, I very much look forward to this film. Thank you for the heads up.

I may be the only one, but I loved Godzilla. Perhaps I should have demanded more, but I thought what I received was terrific. Saw it 4 times on the big screen and I'm waiting longingly for the BluRay.

While I haven't seen Bong Joon-ho's prior films, I also felt a little 'let down' by Snowpiercer. Yes, it was terrific and immensely entertaining, but, in addition to Mr. Hunter's prescient comments, who was maintaining the track? Rails do break down, especially under weather extremes. I'll probably purchase the BluRay, I'll probably seek out Mr. Joon-ho's prior films, but I'll always view Snowpiercer with a tad of coulda, woulda, shoulda.

I remember when No Way Out was in theaters. I loved it, I seem to recall the critics in the Baltimore and DC newspapers hating it, or at least complaining it wasn't as good as of should have been. (Though I cannot argue that the beginning nd ending 'tag' was unneeded.)

A fine list, including several I haven't caught. I now have an early shopping,list. Thank you.

The cliche about Big Star is while no one heard their records, the few who did started (great) bands. No one had heard of Death before their 45 was 'unearthed'.

Unfurtunately the film doesn't serve as a revelation about Big Star as A Band Called Death did for them. Alex Chilton and Chris Bell deserve more.

A Piece Of The Action is one of my favorite TOS episodes. Camp certainly CAN work in StarTrek.

Would I welcome that in a once-every-three-years motion picture? I doubt it. For my money give me Klingons, Klingons and more Klingons.

I can't say I have a soft spot in my heart for Moonraker, despite it being the first Bond film I saw in theaters, but Kudos for adding it. Despite the cheesy effects (Appropriate given the subject matter.) I could watch the shuttle laser fight again and again.
